We had such a laugh at our (slightly manic) final practice before today’s Big Beach Busk appearance! Can’t wait to sing this one on the prom later. Come down and have a listen, we’ll be near the swimming pool from 4pm 🌊🎶💃 taken in Portobello Promenade by @sing_porty

We’ve been getting ready for our first Big Beach Busk appearance tomorrow! We will be somewhere on the prom from 4pm, come and have a listen. This one is a Congolese marching song about bananas. What’s not to like? 🍌 taken in Portobello, Edinburgh by @sing_porty

Sing Porty is a new choir for Portobello with big ambitions and a sense of humour - and we’re on the hunt for new members!

We’re a fun and friendly group, singing everything from pop and folk to gospel, world music and sea shanties.

Open to all - but especially men! We would love to have more low voices in our ranks, so if you’re a fella who can hold a tune - WE WANT YOU.

We meet on Thursday nights from 8-9.15pm at St John the Evangelist Church, Portobello.

Sign up for a free taster session on 3 or 10
September at the link in our bio.

Hope to sing with you soon!

We had such a great time singing at Newhailes Market today - all our singers worked so hard and we sounded pretty damn good if we say so ourselves! Well done everyone!!

We’re taking a break for the summer but our autumn term starts on 20 August, with taster sessions for new members on 3 and 10 September. Join us!! taken in Newhailes House & Gardens NTS by @sing_porty

Sunday plans = sorted. 🧶✨

We are so excited to be providing the soundtrack for this weekend’s Makers Market at Portobello Town Hall! There’s nothing quite like the magic of local voices filling such a great community space while you browse handmade treasures.

Come support our local creators, grab a coffee, and catch us performing throughout the afternoon. 🎶
