🎓 Welcome to Teach It Tuesday, where I teach you completely useless skills that you’ll probably never need. 😂

Today’s lesson: how to sing the alphabet backwards! 🔤🎶 Somehow, this is a skill I picked up in high school, and now I’m passing this very “important” knowledge on to you.

Think you can learn it? Give it a try and let me know how it goes! 😂👇

Day 42 of my $30K by 33 challenge! Every interaction helps me chip away at my student loan debt, and tips are always appreciated. 🤗🫶 Link in bio!

I’ll start: I love the way your words and your voice sound and the fact you have the same tone. 🫠

DAY 1 OF 43: $30,000 BY MY 33RD BIRTHDAY. 🎂💸

We’re on Day 35 of trying to pay off $74K in family student debt, but we’re switching things up.

I turn 33 on November 30th. My daughter is 3. My husband is entering his final year of his 30s.

THREE THREES. THE UNIVERSE HAS SPOKEN. 🫡

I’ve got $30K in student loans of my own, 43 days, and $181 in donations so far.

And we’ve paid $20,000 toward our family student loans over the last 12 years… without the balance going down.

TWELVE. YEARS. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?

I’ll keep making my micropayments, but I’m challenging the internet to help me pay off my own loans before I turn 33.

POV: Your husband finally starts getting on board with your $30K by 33 challenge... 😂💅

A MANI/PEDI? A TRIP TO VEGAS? A CAR DETAIL?….

A WEEK OFF FROM BEING A MOM, SAY WHAT? He’s really just the best husband in the world 💜

Ladies, I think we have ourselves a #birthdaydebt payoff celebration plan! 😆🎉

So what the heck am I actually up to?
Here’s the deal: We’ve been paying on student loans for 12 YEARS… basically throwing away $20,000 😭

Now, I’m trying to raise $30,000 to finally wipe out MY student debt by my 33rd birthday on November 30th 🎂

At this point, I just want to see how many girlies we can get behind this mission. LET’S GET THIS MOM HER MANICURE 💅

Also… any guesses what I actually asked him? 😆

It’s my birthday (month), so naturally I’m singing about my student loan debt. 😂🎂

But if you’re new here, let me give you a little backstory.

I’ve been paying on my student loans for 12 YEARS. Between my husband and me, we’ve paid over $20,000 toward our student loans, and somehow the balance has barely moved. We’re still carrying $74K in student debt.

So I decided to do something a little crazy.

I’m using my love of singing, social media, and a whole lot of humor to try to raise $30,000 to pay off MY student loans by my 33rd birthday on November 30th 🎂

Yes, I’m actually asking people to donate. I’m not going to pretend otherwise 🫠

Every donation, no matter how small, gets me closer to finally closing this chapter of my life.

And if you can’t donate, sharing, following, commenting, or just sticking around to watch this ridiculous journey means so much, too.

I know it’s a big goal. I know it’s a little unconventional. But after 12 years, I’m ready to try something different.

So here’s to Birthday Debt, and hopefully my last birthday with these student loans. 🤣❤️

Okayyyy, I did my part as Elphaba… WHERE’S MY GLINDA?! 😂💗

Somebody come duet this with me! I need a Glinda to complete the moment. Don’t leave me hanging! 😂

Hi, my name is Bee. I’m trying to pay off $30,000 of my student debt by November 30th (my 33rd bday 🎂) by posting videos every single day.

Giving this one another shot because apparently the algorithm and I weren’t on speaking terms the first time 😂

Still working toward that $30,000 goal before my 33rd birthday:
one day, one video, and one little bit of support at a time 🔥

If you’ve been following along, thank you for being here. If you’re new, welcome! 🤗

A little transparency, a little financial reality check, and a change of plans. ❤️

After sitting down and REALLY looking at the numbers, I’ve realized that the way I was approaching this challenge just isn’t sustainable for our family.

If we wanted to completely pay off both loans ourselves in 10 years, we’d need to pay $800 a month. Thats another $60,000 on top of the $40k (and the originally $20k)= $120,000 for $74k of loans. Make it make sense.

We’re still making our payments. We’re still working toward financial freedom. But sometimes being responsible means recognizing what you can realistically afford.

The $30K by 33 challenge isn’t over. The micropayments are. The goal is still the same, just a different approach to getting there.

Thank you to everyone who’s followed along, donated, shared, listened, or simply cheered me on. I genuinely appreciate you.

We’re figuring it out as we go. ❤️

Ps. My October micropayment already promised is going towards my daughter’s education fund 💜

Okay so apparently we’re going back to HS for this one 😂

76,000 of you watched me sing the alphabet backwards this week, and my husband was the only one that asked “How did you learn this in the first place?”

Y’ALL. I FOUND IT.

It was a Disney short called “As the Bell Rings”
(starring @ddlovato) 😮

I remember watching this and deciding I ABSOLUTELY needed to learn how to do it. And here we are 🫠

Who knew a random skill I learned over 15 years ago would end up becoming part of my journey to pay off $30K in student loans by my 33rd birthday?!

Welcome to Student Debt: The Musical 🎤

Where I post videos daily to try and pay off my $30K in student debt. This week, we tried TEACH IT TUESDAY. And it was a HIT 👏

Some days, the world just feels a little heavier than others.

And if today is one of those days for you, I hope you remember that your struggles don’t have to be the biggest, the loudest, or the hardest to deserve compassion.

Pain isn’t a competition. You don’t have to justify being overwhelmed. You don’t have to earn rest.

And you certainly don’t have to pretend you’re okay.

You are loved. You are worthy. You matter. Even on the days when it’s hard to believe any of those things.

I’m still here, still singing, still showing up, and still working toward $30,000 by my 33rd birthday on November 30th.

But today, I just wanted to leave a little reminder:

Tomorrow is a brighter day. And until then, please be gentle with yourself 🫶
