The physical effort for this no-knead bread is minimal, but your patience will be tested. 😏 Basically, you’re letting the yeast do all the work for you. The dough needs to ferment for at least 24 hours. A word of warning: when you take out the dough after those 24 hours, you’ll be hit with the smell of beer! 😲 But don’t worry: once baked, you won’t taste the beer. Or maybe that’s a sad thing? 🤔 😛⁣

This week is ’real bread week’ so Singlemade will be all about fresh and homemade bread. 😍 I looked for another simple and single-proof bread recipe and found these fun buns. It’s a recipe for 8 buns which might be a bit too much for a single sitting but you can easily freeze the leftovers or finish them the next day. 😉⁣

Alas, my repertoire of easy bread recipes that only take one hour to make, oven time include, has been depleted. You don’t need muscly arms however, just some patience. So @domainemalpaskookt asked me to share 3 things I’m really really proud of. The 3 first things that crossed my mind were: 1️⃣ I’m proud of the fact that my husband and I went out on an adventure abroad. Okay okay, maybe it’s just Germany and not the other side of the world, but believe me: German culture is a lot different from Belgian culture! 😅 I’m still trying to adapt to the German food culture. 😜 And we love our abroad experience so much that we’re making a list of other countries we want to live in! 🤓

Number 2️⃣ is Singlemade. Even though it’s had its ups and downs since we moved to Berlin, I have to say that I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished with Singlemade. Singlemade has been a learning process 👩‍🎓: social media, taking and editing pictures, writing down recipes, being consistent. What can I say, thanks to Singlemade I get to create recipes for HelloFresh now. How cool is that?! 😀

Number 3️⃣: I could not have done the first two things without the one person I’m most proud of. My husband. He truly is the most important and precious thing in my life! ❤️

It’s been almost a year since we moved from Cologne to Berlin. 😱 We spent the first two weeks sleeping on our new red Ikea-couch before we moved our bed and the rest of our stuff over.😏 On moving day I flew back and forth to Cologne to arrange everything: wait for the moving company, give the apartment a final cleaning, hand back the keys and stop by the neighbours for a final chat. A busy day, so no time to cook. Luckily I had the sweetest neighbours ever and Golli invited me over for lunch. ❤️ She had made these lentils. I wrested the recipe from her and this dish has become a regular appearance on our table ever since. To my shame, it’s taken me 10 months to write it out for Singlemade. 🙈 And I’m sorry because it’s totally single-proof. 😛

It all started when he borrowed a pen during class. 🖊️When he handed it back to me afterwards, I took it and said ‘Oh it’s still warm’. He was flabbergasted and I felt very stupid. #ClassicMinne 🙈
Many months later, after since having become best friends, Valentine’s day was around the corner. We were not the biggest fans of Valentine’s day and called it Corny-day. 🙃 But he loved chocolate and I had just learned how to make a chocolate heart in my chocolate classes. In the chocolate heart, I hid a little note saying: If you’re up for it…
Tomorrow we’ll have been together for 8 years and a few days ago we celebrated our second wedding anniversary I’m so lucky he asked me to borrow my pen that day! 😍

¡Hola! ¿Qué tal? I’m actually enjoying a little vacation in Spain at the moment. 🤗 Yep, Spain again, we really fell in love with this country. On Pinterest several food bloggers claim you need only 3 ingredients to make Nutella. I’ve tried ‘em all and they’re all crud! 🙊 A couple of ‘em claim you can make your own hazelnut butter in 10 minutes. Again, crud! In the end I managed to make my own butter but it took me over half an hour, using a decent food processor. 😣

In other words, making your own Nutella from scratch isn’t single-proof by a mile. So went to the bio-shop and bought me a jar of hazelnut butter. Thanks to this little invention it doesn’t take the better part of an hour to make Nutella, it hardly takes more than 5 minutes! 😜 So a trip to the bio-shop was well worth it. And did I mention that this version is not only healthier, it’s also even better than the original? 😉 In short: get you some hazelnut butter! 😏 *
