the studio sits at the edge of the woods. there’s a pond just past the treeline — still water, soft light, the kind of quiet that makes you want to make something worth keeping.

the music you’re hearing is “holy grail” by Vacations, off their upcoming album Pursuit of Anything — co-produced by our very own John Velasquez.

this is the world we’re building here. welcome to Singlewave. by @singlewavestudios

Had another amazing day at Marin Studio with @Havenkamoana, @Moclancywonderworld, and @thisisntjohnv!

so much happens during these sessions that can’t be explained -sometimes it takes a bit for us to process this other dimension

Magic was in the air as we spent hours creating and throwing ideas around- thank you Mary Oliver for the inspiration!!🎶✨

Single Wave Studios wouldn’t be what it is without our artists. They are the heart and soul of this space, bringing so much talent, creativity, passion, and beautiful energy through our doors every single day. 🌿

More than just a recording studio, we hope to create a little sanctuary where everyone feels welcomed, safe, inspired, and free to be themselves. A place where creativity flows naturally, connections grow, and every voice has a place.

We are so grateful for the amazing people who make this community what it is. You are the reason this space feels so special. 🤎

The song playing in the background is WISHFUL TIMES, co-produced by our very own producer at Single Wave Studios! Go give it some love. 🎶

Here’s to good people and good music!

Such a joy to co-write and produce “Wishful Times” with @skymccreery. Drums by the one and only @floriangouello

Absolutely love the lyric and melody of this one. Still waters and healing finding this together. Lyric below says the rest.

caught in the traffic of maybes
drunk off the honey of hating
i knock on the table in wishful times
skipping the cracks and the lines
a picture of stable
hoping it can be mine
all mine

but i’m feeling kind of helpless, it started lately
dreaming is the only thing that seems to save me
wake me up, show me how to start something new
knock on the table in wishful times
hoping to find

a way out of all the debating
worrying, wondering and chasing
does it really matter, either way
stuck inside a pattern no escape
knock on the table in wishful times
crossing my fingers, dotting my i’s
ready and able
praying that i find what’s meant to be mine

well i’m feeling kind of helpless
yeah it started lately
dreaming is the only thing that seems to save me
pulling on a thread hoping it could
change things
scraping at the surface
i feel something breaking
wake me up, show me how to start something new
knock on the table in wishful times
hoping to find

i’m hoping baby i’m hoping you can find it
how could i know, i can’t see when i’m hiding by @singlewavestudios

Behind the scenes of @thisisntjohnv bringing an amazing song to life!

This song was born under the redwood trees at our Marin studio, with many thoughtful conversations and ideas being passed around until the perfect lyrics were created.

the world really needs what you’re making. 🌱

a little reminder to trust your process, create from the heart, and let yourself grow at your own pace. the things we make with love have a way of finding the people who need them most.

keep creating and keep growing. the world needs your kind of magic. ☀️

Emma Zander - “Ghost Song”! Felt full circle making this with Em, seeing as her background is in musical theater and we both love classic female jazz singers (aka Ella, Sara Vaughn). Thanks to the talented crew that helped make this one.

Working with an artist like @havenkamoana is on another level - her voice is truly an instrument when creating melodies. The thing we always focus on is free flow - always keep the ideas and sounds flowing. Never say no or wrong - let it all flow and what you will find something will emerge that you never expected.
