@chchhiphopsummit03 - The Christchurch Hip Hop Summit is proud to present, for the first time in New Zealand, the official X-Ecutioners Reunion, featuring Rob Swift, Mista Sinista and Total Eclipse - History will be made this November.

The X-Ecutioners evolved from the late-1980s DJ crew The X-Men (Steve Dee, Sean Cee, Johnny Cash, and Roc Raida). Eventually, the original crew was reduced to 3 members: Roc Raida, Rob Swift, who was recruited in 1991 after placing 3rd in the 1991 East Coast DMC, and Mista Sinista, who was inducted in 1993 after becoming a runner-up in the 1993 New Music Seminar. Total Eclipse, the last official member, was initiated after winning the 1996 International Turntablist Federation battle.

Throughout the 1990s, the X-Ecutioners completely dominated the DJ landscape. Rather than relying on their reputation as the world’s top DJs, they decided to blaze a new trail for DJ culture, taking their skills from the hallowed stages of DJ battles into the recording studio to record full-length albums. Following their groundbreaking debut album X-pressions (Asphodel Records, 1997), their second album, Built From Scratch (Loud Records, 2002), was the first major-label release by a DJ group.

Though Roc Raida passed away in 2009, Total Eclipse, Mista Sinista, and Rob Swift continue to leave their imprint on Hip-Hop culture alongside newest members, DJ Precision and Boogie Blind. Over the last 2 decades, they’ve come together for one-off performances, most notably a Roc Raida tribute at the DMC in London, a European tour in 2018, and, from November 5th through the 8th, 2026 @brolicarm @sinista119 @djtotaleclipse (the original members of the X-Ecutioners) will reunite after a decade at the Christchurch Hip Hop Summit.
