Four months ago, I became a mom.

Which is a rather casual way of saying that my entire world, body, heart, priorities and sense of self were rearranged pretty much overnight.

It’s been beautiful. And exhausting. And hilarious. And overwhelming. Sometimes all before 8am.

I’ve fallen completely in love with this tiny person while simultaneously trying to get to know the woman I became when he arrived.

And maybe that’s the part nobody can really prepare you for.

You don’t just have a baby.
You become someone new, too.

I’m still figuring out who she is.

But four months in, I think I quite like her.

Looking back at this moment still gives us goosebumps.
One of us already a mom. The other just 7 days away from giving birth. Yet together, we chose to follow our dream and create TOKO Studio.

Let’s be honest, most of life is conditioning. We grow up believing there’s only one way to live. But in the end, you create the life you choose.

We moved countries in the last two years, had a baby, started over more than once, and learned that the things that matter most aren’t things at all.

Having kids is the biggest wonder I’ve ever experienced. And being a present parent in a world full of distractions might be one of the greatest gifts you can give.

Life moves fast. Don’t miss it living for others.

The biggest wonder in life is to fall in love .. I mean truly and deeply falling in love with someone and then taking all the necessary steps to maintain and cherish that love.

This goes out to my best friend, my anchor, the one person that knew me from day 1. I can’t explain how grateful I am to spend this life with you.
