I am beyond excited to join my friends and family this October for a week of collaboration, sonic experimentation, and exploration. The last time we got together like this was the most inspiring musical week of my life. We collaborated to our hearts’ content, chased every strange idea we could think of, and then performed the music we’d made together. 20 years in the making, @sinkane and I have been discussing his first tattoo since we were just kids, playing punk rock shows together around the Midwest. Finally, well into our 40’s, my brother Ahmed not only accomplished his first sleeve, but he truly earned it. 18 hours of tattooing in two days! 5.5 hour outline on Monday ~ followed by 12.5 hours of shading and color on Tuesday ~ followed by a 5am flight back to NY Wednesday morning. Pure dedication, determination, and raw will power. It always makes my week when I get to spend quality time with one of my oldest friends and musical peers. Love you brother!
