Lunea trecută ne-am mutat cu synthurile @sequential_llc la @clubcontrol. 🎛️

Cenaclul @sintezaur s-a întors pentru ediția #3, powered by @sequential_llc & @zeedoshop

Am început cu @jaybliss.music și un workshop hands-on de sound design pe Sequential Fourm, cu synthurile și căștile puse direct la dispoziția participanților. 🎧

Au urmat @vladcaiasound, cu anatomia unui remix, și colegul nostru @zglimbi, cu o sesiune despre acustica de home studio. 🔊

18 synthuri, 24 de perechi de căști, 3 workshopuri și 50+ oameni au făcut parte din ediția asta.

Primul act din Cenaclul Sintezaur III: Iulian Cazan aka Jay Bliss - introducere în sound design.

Iulian e DJ și producător de peste 25 de ani: fondatorul labelurilor Stomping Grounds și Vade Mecum, al platformei Musical Deeds (mudee.tv) și al comunității Sintezaur. Pe scurt, omul care a pornit toată treaba asta.

Luni, 21 septembrie, de la 18:30, la Control Club: 10 sintetizatoare Sequential Fourm pe mese, câte doi participanți la un synth, pe căști, cu teoria pe ecranul mare. Construiești un sunet de la zero și înveți, pas cu pas, ce face fiecare buton.

Cele 20 de locuri hands-on se ocupă în ordinea înscrierilor - formularul e la linkul din bio al paginii Sintezaur. Dacă nu prinzi loc la synth, poți urmări cursul din public, fără înscriere.

Iulian has been a DJ and producer for over 25 years: founder of the labels Stomping Grounds and Vade Mecum, the Musical Deeds platform (mudee.tv) and the Sintezaur community. In short, the guy who started this whole thing.

Monday, September 21, from 18:30 at Control Club: 10 Sequential Fourm synthesizers on the tables, two participants per synth, headphones on, with the theory on the big screen. You build a sound from scratch and learn, step by step, what every knob does.

The 20 hands-on seats go in order of sign-up - the form is at the link in Sintezaur’s bio. If you don’t grab a seat at a synth, you can follow the whole thing from the audience, no sign-up needed.

Al treilea act din Cenaclul Sintezaur III: Alexandru Zglimbea - acustica unui home studio.

Alex vine din partea partenerilor noștri de la Zeedo: inginer de sunet cu peste 10 ani de experiență în live și absolvent al masterului PCON (Producție de Conținut în domeniul Audiovizualului și Comunicațiilor). Adică fix omul pe care vrei să-l întrebi de ce sună ciudat camera ta.

Luni, 21 septembrie, de la 21:15, la Control Club, Alex vorbește despre acustica studioului de acasă: tratament acustic vs. izolare fonică, problemele acustice ale încăperilor, ce materiale se folosesc și, mai ales, de unde începi când vrei să-ți pui camera la punct.

Al doilea act din Cenaclul Sintezaur III: Vlad Caia - anatomia unui remix.

Îl știți din SIT și Amorf și de pe Amphia, label-ul pe care l-a co-fondat. Produce din 2007 și e unul dintre oamenii care au definit sunetul scenei românești. În paralel conduce ComposureAudioWorks, studioul lui de mixing și mastering, unde lucrează cu producători de toate nivelurile, de la începători la foarte avansați.

Luni, 21 septembrie, de la 20:00, la Control Club, Vlad își deschide proiectul de Bitwig pe ecranul mare și povestește cum gândește un remix: cum preia elementele originale și cum construiește totul, pas cu pas, până la mixdown.

Deschidem Cenaclul Sintezaur III cu un curs gratuit de introducere în sound design, ținut de Iulian Cazan (aka Jay Bliss).

Luni, 21 septembrie, 18:30, la Control: 10 sintetizatoare Sequential Fourm pe mese, aduse de Sequential prin Zeedo. Câte doi la un synth, pe căști, iar teoria se vede pe ecranul mare. Construim un sunet de la zero și învățăm, pas cu pas, ce face fiecare buton.

After a long break, Cenaclul Sintezaur returns for its first edition at Control, together with Zeedo and Sequential. Monday, September 21, Front Room.

@vladcaiasound (ComposureAudioWorks): the anatomy of a remix. Vlad opens his real Bitwig project and shows how a remix takes shape, from the original elements to the final mixdown.

Iulian Cazan (aka @jaybliss.music ): introduction to sound design. A hands-on workshop on 10 Sequential Fourm synthesizers brought in by Zeedo, with the theory unfolding on the big screen. Open to everyone from the audience.

Alexandru Zglimbea (@zglimbi ) (Zeedo): home studio acoustics. Practical advice on treating the room you actually work in, so what you hear is what you get.

Getting the low end right is one of the biggest challenges in electronic music production. This first chapter breaks down two practical techniques for building a tighter, heavier bass foundation.

Note: Please use headphones or studio monitors for this one. You won’t be able to hear the sub-bass details on phone speakers.

First, the Pultec Bass Trick. A legendary EQ technique to boost your sub frequencies while simultaneously clearing out the low mid mud that ruins a mix.

Second, Filter Bass Compensation. We compare the Waldorf M and the Sequential Fourm to see exactly how different analog filter designs react to high resonance, and why your sub sometimes drops out.

Tools used in these videos: Sequential Fourm, Waldorf M, Ableton Live, UAD Pultec EQP-1A.
