The Peace and Justice monument and Legacy museum in Montgomery Alabama is a hard, necessary visit about the brutality black and brown Americans have faced in our history.

The Legacy museum doesn’t allow photo or video inside which I really appreciated to be in the moment with everything.

The Peace and Justice monument encourages photo and video, that’s what you see here;

Every pillar represents a county where a black or brown person was hung; their names are on each pillar for how many in that county. As you walk around the pillars start at chest level, then shoulders, then head, then until all souls hang above you

If you’re traveling in Alabama or surrounding states it’s a must taken in The National Memorial for Peace and Justice by @siouxxsioux
