Our first event at No Vacancy wasn’t about going big.
It was about doing it right - being deliberate.

We teamed up with @sipsafeto to help launch their citywide campaign — because for us, safety isn’t separate from the guest experience. It’s part of what makes a night memorable.

When people feel safe, they stay longer. They settle in. They connect.
It’s not just hospitality. It’s care, built into the room.

We’re proud to be the pilot venue for what safer nightlife can look like in Toronto.
And lucky to have shared the night with such a powerful mix of friends, creatives, industry, and new faces.

More to come.
Next stop: OssFest. Details soon.

@sipsafeto is all about making sure nights out in Toronto are as safe as possible.

By raising awareness, we can do our best to put an end to drink tampering so that everyone can have a good time without having to worry ❤️

Thank you to Polly at #SipSafe, @novacancyto for hosting, @perriercanada for hydration, and @hopp_canada for getting up there and back safely!

We’re live.
Sip Safe’s official website is now up: www.sipsafeto.com

This campaign is built on transparency, action, and real tools for safer nights out — and this site is your one-stop hub for everything we’re building.
Huge thank you to the brilliant @klsnk_kat for bringing this vision to life. We’re still adding new features, but couldn’t wait to share this first peek.

Spot the difference?

You can’t.
Because safety doesn’t need to scream to be seen.

Same bar. Same vibe.
What we’re building is a culture shift — not a decor overhaul.
Measures like discreet signage or safety codes don’t ruin the night.
They protect it.

It’s still your favourite spot.
Only safer.

Since we started sharing Sip Safe publicly, we’ve been getting a lot of important questions — and we’re so grateful for that.

This FAQ post is here to break down the basics: what Sip Safe is, who it’s for, what we’re aiming to accomplish, what’s happening on July 14, and how you can get involved.

We’re building this campaign out loud — because your questions help shape what comes next. We’ll be doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on our stories in the coming days, so keep the questions coming.

The more we listen, the better we can build.
The goal? A nightlife culture that’s safer, smarter, and more caring — together. by @sipsafeto

This is why Sip Safe exists.
To shift the culture.
To bring these stories out of the shadows.
To build a nightlife scene where this doesn’t happen — and if it does, someone helps.

If you’ve ever gone through something like this, you are not alone.
If you’re a bartender, guest, or friend: you can be part of making our nightlife safer.

Follow @sipsafeto and help us build a city that protects its people. Show up to the launch to show your support for the movement.

If you’d like to share your own story, there’s a link in our bio where you can submit anonymously —sharing as little or as much as you feel comfortable. No identifiable information will ever be collected without your consent.
Thank you for your strength, your courage, and your voice. Your story brings greater awareness to this reality — and helps push the change we all need. by @sipsafeto

Hey guys - Polly here. It’s official! 🍾

After months behind the scenes, I’m proud to finally introduce: Sip Safe - a new campaign to raise the standard of safety in Toronto’s nightlife.

We’re kicking things off with a one-night-only launch on July 14 - and I’d love for you to be there.
📍 No Vacancy | 7pm–late
🔗 RSVP link is in bio - let us know you’re coming!

This is more than just some launch event, more than just a party.
It’s a movement — and these five bars are leading the way:
@novacancyto
@giftshopyyz
@librarybartoronto
@barpompette_to
@civlibto

Excited to highlight more about our launch partners who are helping bring the energy and support to this mission:
@perriercanada @hopp_canada @partytime.to

Follow @sipsafeto for the full rollout - the promos, the tools, the why behind it all.
And if this message resonates: please share. This only works if we build it together.

Thank you ❤️
