SipSip & Stories - the last supper felt like going to a family friend’s home in Ludhiana, Punjab knowing that you will be overfed. But it was in Melbourne, Australia!

We started with the Indian railways Tamatar soup, freshly baked achaari focaccia, tandoori skewers hot off the oven, Sarson ka Saag and makki roti with Aloo Gajar Mattar and homemade Nani’s achaar.

Ended the night with shakkar choori and endless chai - because this is what happens in allllll Indian homes! Plus lot of love!

When community, culture and Melbourne met at one table.

Had the honour of hosting Cabinet Secretary of Victoria and Member of Parliament, Nina Taylor at our SipSip dinner.

Culture is not just celebrated, it is shared. The menu traced a train journey from Delhi to Ludhiana, served right here in Melbourne - because food is where memory meets community.

No speeches. Just charades, endless cups of chai, and one long shared table where strangers left as friends.

This is the Melbourne I love and the Australia that has loved me back. A fair go for every deserving person. Mates in practice. A multicultural community built one conversation at a time.

Thank you Nina for bringing such warmth and community spirit to this shared table.

Nothing fancy, just nostalgic. Here is everything I served at my last Melbourne supper club, but backwards. I wanted this one to feel like a Delhi winter morning at a friend’s house.

No restaurant-style menu — just familiar, homecooked food. The kind where you walk in and you already know you’re going to be fed well. ( Script inspiration - @bazaar_nyc )

Back with another find for my no onion, no garlic fam in Melbourne. It’s all 100% vegetarian, and this hidden spot is called Veggie Bowl.

With Navratri upon us, try this place out when you want to avoid eating onion garlic but can’t avoid eating out.

🧿 Life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you’re gonna get. 🧿

Some people peak in their 30s. Am I one of them? Don’t know, but I am finally enjoying life and learning how to have fun.

The last dinner party was so much fun and pure nostalgia, like walking into a Punjabi home in winters. The only difference was that the home was in 📍 Melbourne this time.

We had the quintessential Punjabi dishes (menu drop soon), and most importantly the vibe, the conversations and just coming together over good food, that kinda beats everything else right?

What else can you ask for on a Saturday night! 🖤

I turned my friend Chris' fancy apartment in South Melbourne into a chai ki tapri ☕

donuts, almond pudding, orange cake baking in the middle of it all, and a full Sip Sip chai station in his kitchen.

People say Melbourne becomes a village once you find your people. I'm learning you have to be a villager first. Show up, bring something, make the chai.

I'm thinking of doing this as the next Sip Sip chai pop-up — same rule, bring a dish that starts with your initial.
