POSTS STORIES REELS

A Saturday Sip for you! ☕️
The best stories in the Bible are those of imperfect people used by God to complete his perfect will.

I've made plenty of mistakes... still making them. But it's your testimony that makes somebody look at your life and say, "If God did it for her, He can do it for me."

He did it for Rahab. He did it for Tamar. Imperfect people with real pasts, and He still put them in His story. Don't let shame lead your story... He still can use you

So no, your past doesn't disqualify you. It's the very thing God wants to use.

Stop hiding the story that sets somebody else free. 🙏🏽

"They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." — Revelation 12:11

👇🏽 Drop a ☕ if He's still using you. And send this to somebody who thinks God is done with them ... He is not.

My mantra to myself this year has been: When you can’t sleep… SEEK! 🙌🏾📖

And once again, this 3AM Bible study session did NOT disappoint. 😮‍💨☕️

2 Timothy has arguably become one of my favorite books of the Bible lately. I love the mentor/mentee dynamic between Paul and Timothy and the way Paul encourages Timothy to remain strong and endure hardship.

But 2 Timothy 2:4 stopped me:

“No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the commanding officer.”

And suddenly, “I’m a soldier in the army of the Lord” hit a little different. 😮‍💨

Because if I’m a soldier…

Who is giving the orders? 👀

Swipe. ➡️☕️

“Only God can judge me.” 👀

Me and a friend were recently talking about some of those Christian/church clichés we say all the time… but are they actually biblical?

Then during my Bible Tea time, I ran across 1 Corinthians 4 and said WAIT A MINUTE, PAUL?! 🤔

Because is it just me… or is this giving “only God can judge me” vibes?! 👀

But here’s the real tea ☕️: I don’t think Paul was saying “nobody can correct me” or “I can do whatever I want.” He was reminding us that people’s opinions and judgments are not the final authority over our lives. God is.

And context matters! Paul was faithfully doing the work God called him to do. He wasn’t just out here living any kind of way and using “the Lord judges me” as an excuse to avoid accountability. 😂

There’s a difference. ☕️

So now I want to hear from y’all:

Is “only God can judge me” biblical… or have we just been using it wrong? 👀😂

Studying the Word of God and journaling are two of my favorite things to do. 📖☕✨

Reading, reflecting, and writing helps me retain what God is teaching me and gives me something to look back on when I need a reminder.

This morning during my intentional time with God, I opened my old faithful Jesus Calling devotional. The suggested scriptures were:

📖 Psalm 8:1-4
Immediately reminded me of a song we sang as kids. I might have to teach it to my girls soon. 🥰

📖 Psalm 19
Ends with a scripture we use for benediction all the time. And reading through David’s Psalms… I can definitely see why women were drawn to him. 😅🤣

📖 1 Corinthians 6:19
This scripture focused on honoring God with our bodies, but I ended up reading the beginning of the chapter too. Let’s just say there are some conversations in the Church that are still very relevant today. 😔

📖 Jeremiah 29:11-13
A reminder that God’s plans for us are good. No matter how far we’ve wandered, when we seek Him and pray to Him, restoration is possible. ❤️

Today’s study left me encouraged, challenged, and grateful.

If you made it to the end, tell me:
Did you read your Bible today? This week? What has God been speaking to you lately? ☕📖

Hey Ladies! ☕📖

Tomorrow we are back for Sip the Bible Tea Women’s Bible Study, and this week we’re diving into the story of Tabitha, also known as Dorcas.

I actually stumbled across her story while reading bedtime Bible stories to my 6 year old daughter, and even though her story is short, it resonated with me in such a lasting way.

Join us as we sip tea, study, and discuss another wonderful woman of the Bible — a woman whose work, service, and legacy spoke for her.

Tomorrow at 8:30 AM CST via Zoom
Bring your Bible, your tea, and a heart ready to share. 🤎

June is quickly approaching and as for me there will be heavy fasting and praying.

The newest Sunday School secretary done came in the house lecturing me because I made some ham. 😅

Taylor told me she doesn’t want to eat pork anymore because “the pig is unclean” according to the Bible… so naturally we ended up in a whole mini Bible study at home 😂☕📖

One thing I love is teaching my girls not to just repeat things they hear — but to READ, STUDY, ask questions, and seek understanding for themselves.

We went from Leviticus to Mark 7 and somehow ended up talking about Jesus, the law, context, and why studying the Bible matters. 😭✨

And honestly?
Moments like this are exactly why Sip The Bible Tea was created.

This generation of kids is going to ask questions and challenge you 🤣 and I honestly love that.

Not perfection.
Not pretending to know it all.
Just real conversations, real questions, and growing deeper in God together. ☕📖

We’re planning ahead for the next three weeks of Sip the Bible Tea Women’s Bible Study ☕📖✨

After completing RedeemHER and continuing with Elizabeth, we’re moving into stories centered on prayer, motherhood, faith, legacy, and women who trusted God in deeply personal seasons.

Here’s what’s coming:

🌸 Thursday, May 7 — Hannah: Prayed for It
A study on prayer, waiting, surrender, and releasing what we asked God for.

🌿 Wednesday, May 13 — The Shunammite Woman: It Is Well
A study on hospitality, promise, pain, persistence, and faith under pressure. Thank you @look_at_lauren for the suggestion

💕 Thursday, May 21 — Lois & Eunice: The Faith That Raised You
A study on generational faith, quiet influence, and the spiritual legacy women pass down.

Mark your calendars and come sip the Word with us.

Real women. Real stories. Real faith.

Growing up in church… let’s talk about it.

I found my voice in church.

Those Easter speeches.
Those memory verses.
Standing in front of people nervous but doing it anyway.

That was a confidence booster before I even knew what confidence was.

Public speaking skills.
Encouragement from my community.
Being seen. Being poured into. Being pushed.

So much of who I am today is connected to how I was raised and the things I was encouraged to do in church early on.

For those who only scream church hurt — and I’m not discounting that it happens. I’ve experienced hurt by and in the church too.

But today, I urge you to also reflect on something positive you gained from growing up in church.

Sometimes healing starts when we remember the good too. ☕✨

Six studies. Six stories. Real women with real journeys — all pointing to one Redeemer.

We studied women who were often misunderstood, overlooked, or reduced to one moment… yet God’s hand was on every chapter.

And this is only the beginning.

Next up: Elizabeth — Worth the Wait 👑 - April 30th 🗓️ 8:15 AM CST ⏰

Thank you to every woman who has joined, listened, learned, shared, and grown with me so far.

✨ It’s been two weeks since our last Bible study, ladies… but this Thursday, we are back! ☕📖✨

We closed the RedeemHER series with Mary, and many of you asked, what’s next?

The journey continues as we keep diving into the stories of women in the Bible.

Up next: Elizabeth.

She knew what it meant to wait.
To trust God in silence.
To keep believing when the promise seemed delayed.

And when her cousin Mary received her own miracle, Elizabeth celebrated her instead of competing with her.

She waited… and she celebrated.

Join us this Thursday for Elizabeth: Worth the Wait — a conversation about timing, purpose, faith, and how to rejoice when God moves for others too.
