We’re always chasing what’s next.

The next race.
The next goal.
The next chapter.

Sometimes we get there so quickly that we forget to appreciate the one we just finished.

Nine weeks of training ended with a simple reminder:

Slow down.

Celebrate the work.

Appreciate the progress.

Then tomorrow…

Get back to work.

Road to Peachtree: Complete✅

41:17.

No, it wasn’t the sub-40 I set out to run.

But it was a personal best—over three minutes faster than my time last year. More importantly, it was the product of nine weeks of intentional work, consistency, and growth.

This training block taught me that progress isn’t just measured by the clock.

It’s measured by the discipline to show up when you don’t feel like it, trusting the process when the outcome isn’t guaranteed, and becoming someone who’s willing to do the ordinary things well, day after day.

I’m grateful to God for carrying me through this journey, for keeping me healthy, and for reminding me that every season has something to teach.

A special thank you to @haleyyjosephine for programming these nine weeks, keeping me accountable, and continuing to invest in me as a coach, accountability partner, and friend. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, experience, and passion for the sport throughout this build. I’m grateful for the role you played in helping me prepare for Peachtree.

Nine weeks ago, I was chasing a time.

Today, I’m leaving with something even more valuable—a stronger, wiser, and more disciplined version of myself.

The clock said 41:17.

The journey said progress.

On to the next one. 🏁 by @sir_hightower

“Once you embrace the suffering, then endure the pain cave, then that is when you finally meet the version of yourself comfort was hiding.”

Weeks 2-5 of the Road to Peachtree are complete.

The goal is simple: run a sub-40 minute 10K on July 4th.

The process isn’t.

🏃🏾‍♂️ Track workouts teach me how to suffer at race pace.

🏔️ Long runs build the aerobic engine that makes speed possible.

🌱 Easy runs allow me to recover, adapt, and show up ready to do it again.

Every run has a purpose.

Track workouts reveal fitness.
Long runs build fitness.
Easy runs sustain fitness.

Over the last four weeks:

• 4 Track Tuesday workouts
• Long runs progressed from 11 → 15 miles
• Countless easy miles
• One goal still ahead

The destination is a sub-40 10K.

But the real reward is becoming the person capable of running it.

Still learning. Still building.

Isabela, Puerto Rico — early November.
Right in the middle of marathon training.

I only had two days, but I needed them.

For most of this year, I was running hard in every direction — long work hours, early mornings, training in the margins. I was tired… even if I never said it out loud. This trip wasn’t an escape from the work — it was a reset for it.

I still ran while I was there. Running is a place of peace and joy for me. But I also rested. My work phone + laptop were taken from me (lol). I put the personal phone down.
I sat in stillness and reflected — on how far I’d come, and what the road ahead would require.

God reminded me of something simple but hard for me to live out: Rest is a part of the process. taken in Isabela, Puerto Rico by @sir_hightower

26.2 miles
15 weeks of training.

Miles were logged. Work was done.
But what I’m most proud of isn’t the run —
it’s the community that was built along the way.

The texts. The voice notes. The DMs from strangers turned supporters. The encouragement from people at the track, on the road, and in places I never expected.

So many people rallied around a goal that didn’t benefit them, didn’t add anything to their lives — and still chose to show up.
That’s what carried me through lonely, cold, early mornings.
That’s what got me out of bed.

This journey reminded me that no pursuit is ever truly solo.
And I’m deeply grateful to God for the people, the encouragement, and the impact that came from simply committing to the work.

The goal remains.
The journey continues.
And I don’t take a single step of it for granted. taken in Huntsville, Alabama by @sir_hightower

The first test on the road to a sub-3 marathon: 10 miles at marathon pace.
Goal was 6:52s — finished with a 6:42 average.

This run wasn’t about proving speed, it was about proving belief.
Every early morning, every sacrifice — the work is starting to bear fruit.

7 weeks down, 8 to go in this 15-week block.
The job’s not done.
More weeks. More runs. More miles.
Sub-3 is the goal. Obedience is the mission. 🏁 taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @sir_hightower

We own the land, cause we the ones who cultivated it.

It’s hard to explain what this weekend meant. Just know my heart’s full.
To PrimeTime: Five years of growth, grit, and brotherhood — and I wouldn’t trade it, or any one of you, for anything.

A&T and BE. will forever be two of the greatest decisions.
