Now I get to marry the kindest man I’ve ever met! Someone who makes my life feel like summer camp. I’ve never met anyone like Kurt before and now we’re engaged! 🫶🏽🫂🤸🏽🕊️

On Tuesday, we spent the day at waterfalls and gorges; sunning and swimming to our heart’s content. In the evening, after burgers and fries he suggested we go on a short hike to a place we’d been before.

He asked me to be his wife on the side of a mountain. We were up so high that we could see the clouds above valleys, pastures, and houses made so tiny by the distance. We watched storms in the east and marveled at the sculptural clouds and setting sun to the west.

And then I said yes. And the world felt new. by @siriemmanuela

Made a postpartum blueberry lemon loaf for one of my best friends:)

The house is slowly but surely coming together. Here are some things and spaces I love🌾 it’s wild to think we’ve only bought maybe two pieces of new furniture to fill the house. This has really been a lesson in using what we have. Seeing how our pieces (and our families’ pieces) work together has been so aesthetically gratifying🪉 #meetingoftheminds by @siriemmanuela

We’ve just switched driving duties so here’s my post about the near annual Brandywine Museum visit: This time we saw N.C. Wyeth’s studio and the family home. Next time I hope to see the “Apotheosis of Family” mural in the round barn. Will keep everyone posted. Most shocking was that the grounds were purchased for 2500 in the early twentieth century. Really makes you think. How much will land cost in 100 years? Will land ownership still be a thing? Thank you! thank you!! Thanks everyone who came out to the house this weekend. Thank you for sharing food, drink, and yourselves. We had so much fun sharing space with you on the land:) It turns out a summer camp vibe with my friends will never not be awesome🕺🏾 Notable moments included: swimming in the pond with you; trying 2 new n/a beers; my nephews first time on a horse; trying and failing at the slack line; and discovering this song. We didn’t get to screen a movie bc by 9 I was dog tired (pun intended), but that’s just the way I like it🫶🏽 #summercamp #friends #summer #grateful #slackline by @siriemmanuela
