Here’s the quickest way to separate them: Trendy is about time (now), Fashionable is about the industry (the collective), and Stylish is about you (the individual).

Here is the breakdown:

· Trendy (The Fad): You are wearing whatever is viral right now (e.g., micro-mini skirts, dopamine dressing, specific TikTok aesthetics). It is external, ephemeral, and dictated by the masses or social media. Downside: It dates you quickly. You wear the trend; the trend doesn't wear you.
· Fashionable (The Insider): You are up-to-date with the current seasonal collections, fabrics, and silhouettes approved by designers and editors (e.g., wearing this season’s wide-leg trouser or the specific "it" color). It shows you follow the industry calendar. Downside: It requires constant upkeep and budget to stay current.
· Stylish (The Signature): You have a distinct, innate personal taste. Style transcends seasons—it’s about fit, proportion, and how you carry yourself. A stylish person makes anything look good, whether it's a vintage tee or a couture gown, because it reflects their personality. Upside: It is timeless and authentic.

How they interact:
You can be stylish in vintage clothes (not trendy or fashionable). You can be fashionable in the latest Prada collection without being trendy (if it isn't viral). You can be trendy in a Zara dupe but lack style if it doesn't suit your body.
