A friend asked the other day if I “got bored” to come over and help with something. I honestly didn't know whether to laugh my ass off or cry. Anyone who is a producer, singer, rapper, or musician knows the reality: this occupation--music--doesn't just hand you a paycheck. You’re grinding a regular job to fund the dream, then spending every remaining second locked in the studio or doing promo. "Boredom" isn't even a word in our vocabulary. Ever since I was 14, I've smoked cannabis every day, enjoyed life, and put my whole self into music. Even when taking a break, I’m building, or designing clothes. I literally do not know what adult boredom feels like. The only time I ever saw it was with exes when they couldn't pry me out of the studio with a crowbar. #sorrynotsorry 😂 But thinking about that question made me feel incredibly grateful. Having a mind that never stops, a drive that keeps me creating, and genuine passion is a blessing. It takes massive faith to keep pushing this hard when you're balancing a normal work life and a full-time music career. I’m thankful for the lack of downtime, because it means I’m alive, I'm inspired, and I'm locked in. We're closing in on 11/11/26. 5 songs. No boredom. 🛠️🐈‍⬛🎛 If you’ve been following my journey, you know this studio started with a shovel, a year of dirt, and my late partner-in-crime Binx keeping guard. Digging this place out of the earth by hand gave me the patience to make my big comeback.🎛🖤🎧🎼 Sitting inside this studio today, looking at what came out of the last 3 years, I’m reminded of what matters: Faith. Call it God, call it the Universe, call it Nature—we have to acknowledge we aren't the highest, smartest, or most perfect things in this reality. There is a massive power out there. But true magic happens when you pair that cosmic faith with faith in your unique self. What makes you YOU is your superpower. If you truly lock into that, you can manifest and create anything you can imagine. On 11.11, I’m releasing 5 brand new songs. It’s funky, dirty, heartfelt and IMO my fav work so far. I didn't get here alone. Massive gratitude to the incredible artists I work with from LA to Seattle,WA to right here in New Mexico. Even one in the Netherlands🫡@officialmontu_ra You legends kept the faith and brought nothing but Majestic Vybz🤩😉@majesticvybz_la when I was dialing it back in. I vanished into the desert for a reason. 🌵✨ Between 2022 and 2023, I built a custom studio beneath the desert sand with my own two hands—piece by piece, shovel by shovel. I’ve been locked inside of it ever since.😆Total studio junkie mode. 🎧🔥 It wasn't easy. There were ups, downs, and moments where the haze almost took over completely. I know it’s been a minute since you’ve heard from me. I needed to really focus to build something real. The vault is now overflowing, and I am about to flood the gates. Over 20 tracks are locked, loaded, and coming your way rapidly over the next few months to close this chapter. No more waiting. The first wave hits 11.11. Welcome to the underground. Drop a 🏜️ in the comments if you're ready. . . 10 years ago today, grinding in Hollywood as a session bass player. 🎸 We were really jamming this night. Looking back at this footage hits a bit different now—rest in peace to the incredible vocalist Gary Hall sharing the stage with me here. Music is forever, and I’m so glad we captured this moment. Fast forward a decade, and I’m blessed to be sitting on the other side of the glass producing full-time as Sir Nobl. Never forget where you started, but always keep moving forward. 🕊️✨ #SirNobl #BassPlayer #MusicProducer #HollywoodGigs #SessionMusician by @sirnobl

Can't get in without your funk card baby! 🤓🎶🎛✅️ FUNKED AROUND, FOUND OUT! 🪩 Had to give a shout-out to the one and only Bootsy Collins and his new book, Funked Around, Found Out. Bootsy has been a huge inspiration to me for years, so seeing him put his story, wisdom, humor, and all that funk into a book is pretty damn cool. If you’re into P-Funk, funk history, or just a good story from one of the most legendary characters ever to pick up a bass, check this one out. Much love to Bootsy! 🥁🪩🎸 @bootsy_collins Music - The Jewel in the Lotus feat. Mark Sampson, Tyra from Saigon #pfunk #sirnobl #bootsycollins by @sirnobl

Here's a quiz for y'all , is it better to perfect death or let it just fall out💩?? I mean, of course, you want things to roll smoothly and sound like it was easy , but are there ever those times that some over the top perfection is necessary?? I'd like to ask @drdre or the late @quincyjones that question.. For music producers, I'd probably call the downside something like perfectionistic overworking, compulsive tweaking, or mixing fixation. The pattern is very recognizable: "It's almost there → make one tiny change → listen again → doubt it → change something else → listen again → lose perspective → keep going because surely one more adjustment will fix it." And yes, mixing engineers are particularly vulnerable because audio gives you an almost infinite number of things you can change. I guess there's a right and wrong way to do it.. Why the eight-hour loop can actually make the mix worse... Your ears and brain adapt. At first: "This vocal is too bright." Three hours later: "Actually, it's fine." Six hours later: "Fuck, everything sounds harsh." So you turn the highs down. Then you listen the next morning and discover you've made the entire mix dull. That's not necessarily because your mixing ability disappeared. Your reference point changed. The same thing happens with my bassline. I can spend twelve hours searching for the perfect sound and genuinely find something amazing—but that doesn't mean twelve hours is inherently better than two hours. Sometimes the long session contains a breakthrough. Other times it contains six hours of deteriorating judgment. For the bassline you're hearing(a brand new possible future release) I spent a entire day tweaking the groove and rhythm , but I did come out with something I like. I just have to play it again fresh to get the rhythm even better and the strings are dead , so.. But if you ever get to the point that music becomes tedious and not enjoyable , then you have to ask yourself why you got into it in the first place. In my case , because I have a love , passion and enjoyment of music. So if those things disappear , it no longer makes sense. Thanks for listening, 🙏🙏🙏 😵‍💫🕺 by @sirnobl
