Against my personal wishes to not post photos of myself on the internet, I understand most people would like to know what their prospective teacher looks like. Here’s Big Sister, in my final form 🥾

I just got back from a beautiful and much-needed road trip to the Cederberg with my family. Climbing and photographing exquisite South African landscapes (especially with no cell service and only a few analog mediums to document it!) always inspires me.

Back to school this week, with many nature-focussed lessons planned for the next while. I can’t wait to see and hear what all my budding artists got up to in their winter holiday 🤠 by @sistah_studio

Out of office 🤪

Thank you for supporting the first six months of Big Sister Studio! I have loved teaching & getting to know all of you.

As I push through a lovely midwinter flu and prepare to be out of cell service from next week, Big Sis will remain closed until I return on 20 July ✨ expect slightly slower responses to all new queries, quotation requests & memes until then..

Holiday season 💝 I love coming up with super creative, tailored classes for each individual child & really taking the time to let my students express themselves as boldly as they so wish… but I’m also not opposed to doing the tried & true favourites! You can’t go wrong with cookie decorating at a birthday party. If that’s what your kids want, that’s what I’m gonna give them! 🧝‍♀️🦋 by @sistah_studio

Spent the last two days celebrating the youth in the best way I know how 🍬💜 I split 9 girls from ages 5 to 13 into small groups for an outdoor photo walk, where they were instructed to each photograph one organic object. We then made compositions of our findings from nature using different drawing mediums on Fabriano. We went on to make clay animals, insects, toadstools & fairies for their gardens 🛼🌷
