So honored to be voted San Diego Reader’s BEST PIZZA 🍕 for the second year in a row!! 🥇This year we were also voted BEST OUTDOOR PATIO 🌿 and we came in second place for BEST CHEESESTEAKS🥈!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all who voted for us and who support us every day! The pizza is great, and the vibes are supreme, but it is truly the people who walk through our doors every day that make Sisters the special place that it is! ✨

Huge shout out to our staff whose hard work and dedication we could not have earned this honor without! 🙌

O.M.G!! BEST PIZZA IN SAN DIEGO!! 🍕🍕🍕

Thank you so much to @sandiegoreader and to all of our voters and supporters for naming us the best pizza in San Diego! 🗳️ The Sisters team is beyond flattered and thrilled!

I started the restaurant because it was a dream of both my sister and I to open a business together. When Katie passed unexpectedly in 2016 I came to the realization that life is so short and can be so unpredictable that the dream had to happen NOW. I also needed a massive project in which to pour my grief, energy, and love for my sister so I left my teaching career and began the journey that is now Sisters Pizza. Katie and I had a love for and bond over experiencing the best pizza - from frozen Ellio’s in our toaster oven as children (still one of my absolute favorites), to all the best spots in NJ and NYC as teens under our dad’s guidance, and eventually SD when we both moved here in the early 2000s when we were in our young 20s.

The restaurant is modeled after Garden Pizza, a place we went to with our parents in Fort Lee, NJ, the town that connects the George Washington Bridge to Manhattan. During the day it was a slice shop. In the evening it was a place my parents could enjoy a bottle of wine 🍷 and Italian entrees 🍝 and their picky little girls could order a slice of Plain and pick out their own cans of soda 🥤 from the cooler (thrilling at the time)! I see families having the same experience at our restaurant, and it makes my heart burst every time. 💞

We realize pizza is one of thee most nostalgic of meals. We invite all to have their own “Garden Pizza” experience in San Diego wherever it may be- there are so many great pizza shops in town! For those of you who have chosen Sisters as their place, we thank you, we love you, and we will always appreciate your support. 🥰

Cheers to my sister, Katie, for being the catalyst to Sisters Pizza. ✨ We miss her every minute of every day . 👯‍♀️💚 I was and am always so proud to be her sister.

I’m making my rounds on the places people suggest. I found myself @sisterspizzasd in the Hillcrest area. They have some good pizza . We are rounding out on enough places to have a legit opinion on a top 5 . This place is in that conversation so far it’s some good stuff 🍕🍕🍕
