A story of 2 chore jackets. Booby: I’d always loved the blue footed booby, I mean who wouldn’t? I absolutely loved lizwhitemansmith Rainbow Booby from @royalacademyarts 2024 #summerexhibition, the need to embroider simmered away in my mind. Really enjoyed sewing and wearing this, until the heatwave 🥵
Bittern: I saw a stunning photo posted by @thewildlifetrusts taken by @ntbwildlife of a Bittern in flight & that was it. I became obsessed with the elusive beauty. I still plan to appliqué reeds on the back for a little Bittern to hide in. I’ll keep you posted. 🤎 by @sisterthreads_uk

A plain shirt is not safe in my house. I hang it up and decide what to do with it.

This time I appliquéd vegetables on the back and embroidered produce peeking from the pocket.

Made for @leahebinns who thankfully appreciates being dressed as an allotment. 🍅🫛🥕🌽🫜

🍓🌱 Farmer Snoopy has been busy on his patch! 🌱🍓

A plain white @georgeatasda blouse, a needle, some thread, and a lot of happy stitching later… ✨

I hand embroidered this blouse with my favourite little farmer and a scattering of fruit 🍓🍒🍉🍏🍋
sewn by hand, and I’m kind of sorry it’s finished. Might add more 😅 think he needs a veg patch 🥦🥕

Coastal charm on an upcycled chore jacket. I’m in my embroidery era and think I shall be for some time to come!

Bank holidays are for slow sips and buttery bites — and maybe a little stitching too.
I embroidered this breezy linen blouse with croissants and coffee cups, because sometimes clothes should feel like café mornings, or I wish every outfit felt like breakfast ☕️🥐

I have finished the @merchantandmills #sandajacket 🎉 made using their beautifully soft cotton corduroy in brown 🤎
I lined the pockets and the under collar with fabric from my stash.
**edit - all fixed!! Hurrah** I need help though. You will notice where the top buttonhole should be, there isn’t one. I’m really struggling to sew it in. The fabric must be too thick?? Any ideas please 🙏🏼 I’ve tried adding stabiliser to no avail 😭🤷🏻‍♀️ by @sisterthreads_uk

To celebrate @roughtradelpl opening in Liverpool and their merch being top class. I just bought a couple of tees, and a few totes, I mean you can’t have too many can you? Turns out I do have too many so I made one into a pouch bag, I also used cushion covers from @flyingtiger as lining, pockets and bottom of bag.
