Something a bit different for Six String Tales which I’ve wanted to do since the very start of the channel. When my Dad was in the hospice in 2017 (unsurprisingly an incredibly stressful time) a programme came on the TV late at night of monks working in an abbey. It was an hour long with no music and no dialogue. It was one of the most relaxing pieces of video I’ve ever seen and I’ve wanted to try something similar with guitar building ever since. @taranguitars in Fife seemed like the perfect choice as their craftsmanship is unrivalled and it was a pleasure to film. The link to the full video is in the page bio! #asmr #guitar #guitarbuilding #guitarbuilder taken in Fife, Scotland by @sixstringtales

Some images from yesterday filming with @taranguitars Despite only being the other side of the Firth of Forth in Fife it’s taken a good while to get this to happen and it was great to finally tick it off the bucket list. Unmatched levels of craftsmanship and a sound to match. Video coming soon over on YouTube! #guitar #guitarbuilding #acousticguitar #guitarmaking #guitarist taken in Fife, Scotland by @sixstringtales

Full interview with @joeylandreth of @thebroslandreth is out now over on the Six String Tales YouTube channel (link in bio). In this clip Joey talks about how he discovered slide guitar and the ‘slide’ his Dad made him from a brass bushing. Really pleased with how this one turned out and much more like this coming soon! #guitar #guitarist #guitarra #guitarplayer by @sixstringtales

Back home after an amazing week in the North West of Scotland with these two guys. Many Mules were played, whisky drank, stones lifted and pies eaten. The full video is over on YouTube but I thought I’d share it here too. It’s a bit of unusual video for me as I normally avoid talking about my personal life but I thought it would be good to share the story of how Six String Tales came about. It also seemed like a good excuse to show off my new guitar from @sethbaccusguitars as it has its own place in the story. Really looking forward to launching the channel again very soon and I’m really excited for the films I have coming up. It’s been an incredibly quiet 12 months for Six String Tales but I’m pleased to say things are moving again and there are new episodes on the way very soon. Seems like a good excuse to share some highlights from the channel up until now. Kicking things off with these raw clips from filming with @prsguitars in Maryland a couple of years ago (full interview with Paul over on YouTube). Lots more of this kind of thing to come! #guitar #prs #guitars #guitarbuilding #guitarist taken in PRS Guitars by @sixstringtales
