Today we honor #WomensEqualityDay - the anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the constitutional right to vote on August 26, 1920.

At Sixth & Bryant, we celebrate the courage of the suffragists whose unwavering strength changed history, and we recommit to the ongoing pursuit of equality and civic empowerment.

The 19th Amendment secured women’s constitutional right to vote.
While the 19th Amendment was a landmark for women’s suffrage, true voting equality for Black women wasn’t achieved until the #VotingRightsAct of 1965.
But equality is a journey, not a destination - our work continues today.

Let’s continue lifting each other up, celebrating progress, and advocating for rights that shape our shared tomorrow.
