Sizz Records Annual Music Festival
"SIZZSTOCK,"
5th Event - SEPT 19th - @ 11 Hemlock St

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

ATTENTION! 💥 SIZZSTOCK RETURNS ON SATURDAY!

Last year, I went to nearly 50 shows in and around Portland + further afield in New England, and this event was by far the most joyful display of music I witnessed. A big, beautiful, messy melting pot of the Portland DIY scene, just a bunch of artists celebrating each other. I’m so glad that Lolabelle was asked to play this year.

Pay-what-you-can (suggested $10) and BYO something for @turnstyletrashton to cook up on the grill. 11 Hemlock St, 3-10 PM.

Photos/videos are scenes from Sizzstock IV last summer. Happy to see that some acts from last year will be back, including @damn_jamn and @_angusisdead_ . and shoutout to @caseyjobeharlequin , who was apparently extremely photogenic that day lol. taken in Portland, Maine by @sizzstock

Art, BBQ, and Local Music. We're bringing it all together again for the fifth SIZZSTOCK, once again at the beloved 11 Hemlock St this upcoming Saturday. Feast your eyes upon the awesome lineup of talent, as you look forward to feasting upon the awesome food we're going to share together.

That's right, it's SIZZSTOCK V. Make your way out to 11 Hemlock, Sept. 19th, doors opening just a mere 15ish minutes before the first set from Jojo begins the festivities! Bring anything you want to see eaten by the masses or better yet grilled and served directly to you. We still plan on having an art vendor or two but ya know sometimes plans change, what can ya do.

We're looking forward to seeing ya!!! Thanks again @jaibaij for the hard work on the flyer materials. by @sizzstock

Good day folks!

Sizzstock returns this Sept. 19th, and in the coming weeks we are going to be unveiling one by one all of the artists, bands and vendors who will be participating in this year's festival!

We are super stoked to be having all the fun @ 11 Hemlock St. again this year and we look forward to seeing you all come out!

Thanks a ton @jaibaij for making this year's awesome flyer! Super radical. We will be selling prints at the event.

Food! Hit us up in the comments if you want to see anything specific and we'll see what we can do to accommodate, and as always we are super welcoming of anything you want to bring, prepared, or raw for @turnstyletrashton to grill up.

Thanks for supporting Sizzstock!

Our final act to announce is Maine's legendary dark wave king, Goiter.

Hailing from Rumford, this act has been a staple of the electronic scene in the state. With several albums and performances under his belt, as well as his kinship with the RCP collective he has cemented his name in our memories forever. It's a huge honor to have him make it down for the festival this year.

So that's the end of our lineup reveal!
Stay tuned for the order of the acts to be shown off in the next few days... all happening September 19th

Don't miss it.

One of Portland's heaviest hitters, MINDLESS CRETIN are going to rock the hell out of Sizzstock IV. They're playing early so make sure you book it to Hemlock St so ya don't miss em'.

These guys have been tightening their act since they played Sizzstock last year. This young talent has been shining bright, laying down their grizzly act all across Maine tearing folks in half with the chaos they wield oh so wonderfully. We can't wait to have them rip the yard up with their riffs again.

We have one more announcement to make, keep your eyes peeled tomorrow!

We've only got a couple more announcements to make, today we're stoked to say Damn Jamn will be playing Sizzstock IV!!!!

These guys have the groove in their DNA, the funk and hip hop they're bringing to the stage will have you fully captivated, the freestyling will blow you away. The talents in this outfit are some of Portland's best. You're not going to want to miss out on this set. It's going to be a blast.

We had the pleasure of having them play last year and we're psyched we'll be getting some more Damn Jamn this year.

Check it out, all day long from 3pm - 10pm

This next announcement is super special - the new outfit Rhys will be joining us this year for Sizzstock IV.

"Dark and heavy psychedelia offered up to the Goddess. Songs about Love and Fire, the apocalyptic medicine."

Amongst the talent in this band is Sizz Records creator Ansel Knight, and this will be their first time bringing a band to the label's fest. Let's bring the love and support Rhys!

Catch the show at 11 Hemlock St, September 19th

Our next announcement needs no introduction, folks give it up for The Astral Pines!

This outfit always brings their a-game to the stage. Funky and groovy rock n' rollers, they self proclaim to be raised in the dirt and must share their insane music with us. And more than the music, it is they who are insane, insanely talented. They may even be able to read each other's minds. (Don't tell the government)

It is with the power vested in them that I promise to you, so long as you get to Sizzstock IV this year, you will dance.
