Got a new project today- REALLY early 1971 SG Deluxe. I’ve never seen one without neck binding, coupled with the low 600 number (as shitty as Norlin’s sequencing was) it has to be within the first 6 months, with the SG Deluxe front route only lasting from mid 1971-late 72’. Now to find some patent sticker T tops and a bigsby and rip.

My little side-side project, the Junk Drawer Fuzz. Just a classic silicon fuzz face with some slight Cesar Diaz tweaks, nothing massive. Enclosure is a “multiplex decoder” from a 1963 Packard Bell that basically decoded the pilot tone and subcarrier from FM and flipped it into stereo, tagboard from a small chassis that was used as a tube operated “computer” that ran as a timer for a church’s bell, then alot of NOS components I had left over. by @sjames_555

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to a single amp/cab setup. It’s just too L U S H

The only viable thing to do with Illinois filter caps.

(My favorite part is the dog howling when I kicked the caps at the wall)

1966 Super Reverb into 68-70’ bassman cab loaded with grey frame D-120’s. I can see why the Allman Brothers liked these speakers.

56 years later, in the same building where Jimi lived as a kid. Weird to think about.
