In February Nathan Roche performed a stand-up routine. This Thursday at 6pm a portrait of that time, by way of the film GET BACK TO ME, will screen for the very first time at Cinema Astragale (SYD) before French horror Litan (1982), Jean-Pierre Mocky. Contact @cinema.astragale for location.

Get Back To Me follows North Queensland artist and raconteur Nathan Roche attempting to perform a standup comedy routine for the first and last time ever.. after 10 years in France he returns to get back to you and back to himself. The results are not straight forward as a stand up and you can sit down to watch it.

False as a Beach can now be watched in full via @nownessasia

The film was incredibly and considerately made with the care and talent of many many people. This film was made with the desire to find the wonder. So many things are intellectualised and geared for this or that this is geared to - to find some sort of beauty. It’s also been touted as a femme manifesto. I won’t disagree with that but you’ll have to call me to find out more. Or also there is an interview on NOWNESS too !!
