Google can show you the building. We’ll show you St. Joe’s.

A classroom becomes a place where teachers know you and challenge you. An empty gym becomes packed for a rivalry game. The Cullen Center becomes a stage. The dining hall becomes a place to catch up with friends. And the Rowdies section? You have to experience that one for yourself.

Come see the difference at Fall Open House on October 18 & 19. Tour campus with our students and parents, meet the people who make St. Joe’s what it is, and experience what life as a Marauder is really like.

Character isn't just knowing what's right. It's having the courage to act on it.

On Wednesday, we welcomed former NFL player Jon Vaughn to St. Joe's as part of our John R. Paslaqua ’10 Memorial Awareness Day speaker series.

Drawing from his own personal experiences, Jon shared a powerful message with our students about the importance of speaking up, standing up for what they believe in, and having the courage to do what's right, even when it's not the easy choice.

The conversation continued that evening at our Parents' Guild meeting, where Jon spoke with parents and guardians about how they can reinforce these lessons at home and help their sons navigate difficult situations with confidence and character.

Thank you to Jon for sharing his story and reminding our St. Joe's community of the importance of finding our voice and using it to make a difference. by @sjci

Our Student Council is leading the charge for Pink Out Dress Down Day TOMORROW, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, and we're calling on our Marauders to show up in pink for a cause that touches so many lives.

Here's what students need to know for tomorrow:
• $5 to dress down, collected outside the gym Thursday morning. If you wear your Marauders Wear Pink T-shirt from this year or last year, your $5 dress-down fee is waived!
• Pink MUST be worn on top! A small pink logo or stripe doesn't count, and sweatshirts cannot cover your pink shirt.

You can still purchase a T-Shirt fo $20, Hat for $10, Water Bottle for $10, or a pink wristband for $1. They are also inviting students to honor someone impacted by breast cancer by writing their name on a pink ribbon. These ribbons will be displayed on our library windows later this month as a reminder of the people and stories behind this important cause.

And the pink doesn't stop tomorrow! We'll keep it going at Saturday's Pink Out football game!

Let's fill the halls with pink, stand together as a St. Joe's community, and show our support for the fighters, survivors, and families affected by breast cancer. by @sjci

In September, our Inside the “L” student philanthropy group kicked off its alumni speaker series with a visit from TJ Conway ’18, Financial Planner at Note Advisors!

TJ shared his journey from St. Joe’s to John Carroll University and eventually back home to Buffalo, highlighting how the friendships and connections he built through the St. Joe’s Brotherhood have continued to open doors throughout his career. From landing his first job to connecting with alumni across generations, those relationships are still making a difference today.

And TJ continues to give back! As a member of our Alumni Board and co-chair of the Alumni Golf Outing Committee, he helps support the Alumni Association Endowment Fund, which provides financial aid for sons and grandsons of St. Joe’s alumni.

But one of his biggest messages to our guys? Giving back isn't always about money. Whether it's sharing your time, offering your talents, or simply staying connected, there are plenty of ways to make an impact.

A big thank you to TJ for spending time with our students, sharing his experiences, and showing them what it means to be a Marauder for life! by @sjci

Last month, Matthew Armento ’26 was honored with the Father Baker Youth Service Award at OLV’s Victory Nite, recognizing his commitment to service and the impact of an initiative he started right here at St. Joe’s.

As a student, Matt founded The Torch Fund through Inside the “L,” creating an opportunity for fellow Marauders to gain hands-on experience in philanthropy and leadership while supporting local Catholic elementary schools.

And the impact speaks for itself! In its first year, The Torch Fund raised more than $38,000 and awarded $11,000 through 13 grants to nine Catholic schools across Western New York.

Now a freshman at Cornell University, Matt returned home to accept the award and celebrate what The Torch Fund has accomplished. And while his time at St. Joe’s has come to an end, the work he started is just getting started. Matt has passed the torch to the next group of Inside the “L” student leaders, who are continuing to build on that impact.

Congratulations, Matt, on this well-deserved honor and for leaving a lasting mark on the St. Joe’s community! by @sjci

The curtain is almost ready to rise on our Fall Drama! Cash Kirkby ’29 caught up with cast members Gabriel Frisina ’27, Elias Croom ’27, and Henri Khoury ’30, along with director Mr. Frisina ’96, to get a behind-the-scenes look at You Can’t Take It with You and hear what audiences can expect when the show hits the stage November 5–7!

This award-winning comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart brings two very different families together for a story filled with laughs, unexpected twists, and plenty of chaos. But beyond the comedy, there’s a message about embracing what makes each of us unique and appreciating the differences that bring us together.

The production has been hard at work bringing this production to life, and we can’t wait for you to see it!
