🌟 The End Kidney Deaths Act (H.R. 2687/H.R. 9275)🌟 is a bipartisan bill introduced in Congress to reduce the, kidney transplant waiting list by offering a $50,000 refundable tax credit ($10,000 annually for 5 years) to living donors who donate to strangers. It aims to save up to 100,000 lives and up to $37 billion in taxpayer costs.

The last day of February is designated as #RareDiseaseDay. It's truly #amazing to me that over 300 million people worldwide live with a rare disease!! Just to put things into perspective, that figure is many millions more than the population of many many countries.

The theme for #RareDiseaseDay2026 is 🌟 "More Than You Can Imagine”.🌟 This global campaign is meant to emphasize the fact that while individual conditions maybe rare, their collective impact is significant, calling for increased equity, community action, and improved healthcare access for those who are living with these rare conditions (and for their loved ones too) 🙏 Globally, the colors of 💗 💙 💚 💜 (pink, blue, green, and purple) are used to illuminate landmarks, homes, and social media, typically on the last day of February at 7 PM local time. Rare diseases don't discriminate, and these vibrant colors represent the diversity of the rare disease community. #morethanyoucanimagine #shareforshare your stories and photos

Today was magical….
Right after my bloodwork, @sjdey and I barreled down to the Maryland State Capital to see the monks.

This was their final stage on the “Walk for Peace”.
The night before while we were hatching this plan, he said bring some of the rocks.

I really didn’t think this would happen but I set my intention to hopefully hand out some of my #donateliferocks to the monks.

And yes!!!! Sam got close enough, he offered up two of the rocks (the girl ones with heart balloons for heart month) and they were taken by two of the monks!!!

Just so 😎.
Afterwards we stayed to listen to the message about forgiveness, peace, living in the moment today, reducing materialistic possessions that don’t truly serve us.

I highly enjoyed listening to them talk about not wearing shoes. If I could I would also walk around barefoot all life and stay grounded.

We also let several individuals around us know we were transplant recipients to much positive delight and reactions.
