Seeing an object in the sky that's not normally there is surreal and humbling...

Incredible to have seen Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS when our skies finally cleared. It was too high in the sky to get an interesting landscape in the same shot, but felt like the perfect pairing with one of my favourite portraits, as it drifts away possibly returning in 80,000 years...

Ancient giants on Vancouver Island, straight out of a Harry Potter. Probably a thousand years old... 40-50 human generations, and maybe they'll see another one.

Find some of these treasures on the Ancient Forest Alliance website hiking guides, and throw them a donation while you're there. Then tread lightly.
