“When one door closes, another will open.”

These are the words I have held close to my heart over the past few weeks. As I hung up my official dress for the last time and retired my gavel, I expected to feel a sense of closure. Instead, I’ve found myself feeling incomplete—aware that there is still more I want to do, more members I want to connect with, more stories I want to share, and a greater impact I want to make.

That feeling is the passion that FFA instills upon each of its members. FFA gave me a place where I belong. It gave me teachers, mentors, friends, and a family.
My journey in the blue jacket has come to an end but my dedication to FFA and every member still holds strong.

When the time is right, I look forward to giving back to the organization that has given me so much. #iowaffa #nationalffa #ffa

Forever grateful for every opportunity,

Saylee Gingerich

Huge thank you to my friends that have supported me throughout these four years, Mrs. Thompson who has never doubted me even when I have given up on myself, Annie for being the best role model and mentor I could have asked for, and my family who have been there for me in every high and low— especially Caeson and Ayla, you guys have no idea how much your humor and support means to me.
