🌐 CG turned 10 years old…

🍴 The team at @qavaliuk hosted an intimate dining experience for me and @lmj.uk to celebrate a decade of building our platform alongside our closest people.

🫡 The beautiful thing about building something with your brother is that it grows with both of you. What CG looks like today — and the direction it’s heading in — is very different from what we first envisioned, but it has evolved alongside me and Luis, and it very much feels like we’re only just getting started.

🥂 Here’s to the next 10 years.

🇬🇧→🇳🇱 London, it’s been one hell of a ride, but it’s time for a new adventure.

Almost four years ago, I found myself at a crossroads during one of the most challenging moments of my life. After years of treatment on my left eye, my retina completely detached. Following several unsuccessful surgeries, I was told I had two options: undergo another risky operation or live with little-to-no vision in my left eye. I chose the latter - but it meant giving up my job as an electrician.

At the time I was working on a plan to go self-employed as an electrician, whilst providing a music PR service - to those of you that worked with me during this time, thank you, you know who you are, but a huge shoutout to @kk.anasa at @twelfthhouse_co - your guidance during this period was so valuable.

When the eye saga forced everything to stop, one huge blessing entered my life - @arliiiyah. She saw potential in me before I saw it myself. With plans to move back to London, we built my CV, backed my experience from CGuk, Social Stamp and Twelfth House, and went all in. That leap landed me a new business role at @thefuturefactory, took us to London together, and now, almost 3 years later, has brought us to the edge of our biggest chapter yet.

Just before Christmas, I was offered an incredible opportunity to join a prestigious creative agency in Amsterdam. Me and Aaliyah had discussed the idea of relocating, but didn’t quite expect it to come around this quickly. So yes, that means we’re packing up and moving to start a new chapter in Amsterdam.

I left school with no idea what I wanted to do, just a love for music, fashion and earning money. I got myself a trade and chased a dream. That dream today looks very different, but I never stopped chasing, despite the obstacles that life threw my way.

Take what you want from my journey, but never forget: 
👉 The importance of surrounding yourself with people that truly care about you.
👉 The plan might change, but never stop dreaming.
