You’re Invited: Dr. John Carlos & Dr. Tommie Smith Day

The African American Community Service Agency (AACSA), Councilmember Anthony Tordillos & District 3 Team, and San Jose State University invites you to join us in honoring Dr. John Carlos and Dr. Tommie Smith and their extraordinary legacy of courage, leadership, and advocacy for racial justice.

Join us as we celebrate these Olympic medalists and San José State University alumni, whose historic stand at the 1968 Olympics continues to inspire generations to use their voices for change.

Date: Friday, October 16, 2026 Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm  Location: San José City Hall Rotunda
