🏅Do you know the history of Legacy Month?🏅

Legacy Month celebrates the bravery of Tommie Smith and John Carlos, who protested because of:

📌 The unequal treatment of Black athletes
📌 The false portrayal of positive race relations in the US
📌 The history and continuation of violence against Black citizens

Join us this October in honoring the legacy of these SJSU alumni and following their footsteps!

🎸 Rooted: 10/1, 4pm, Tower Lawn
🌱 Garden Volunteer Day: 10/10, 8am-2pm, Campus Community Garden
✊🏾 Smith and Carlos Day: 10/14, 9:00am-11:00am, Smith and Carlos Lawn
