Some highlights from @lovesupremefest 2026“In the UK where theres a culture to come out in mass, be it to gigs, protests, the British Grand Prix, parades and to great music festivals.This is great considering more people than ever feel lonely and isolated with some even doom scrolling their time away on portable devices.The camaraderie of collectively coming together for a common purpose of having a passion for Jazz Music which we get in abundance for the annual Love Supreme Jazz Festival. (Named after the late John Coltranes magnum opus)A Love Supreme set the mood along with this glorious weather we’re currently experiencing.Good vibes was at an all time high.Me and the homie Kish Kash pulled up early on Friday 3rd July to soak it all in. On A warm Friday, 19th June, at the infamous O2 Arena for the RnB Summer Ball 2026 presented by TCO with an audience mainly filled with 70s & 80s babies, often dubbed the grown and sexy generation. The age group that, before Spotify playlists, would make RnB Slow Jam mixtapes. Made up of our favourite downtempo cuts from the early to mid 90s Many dub this the golden era of the slow jams, featuring timeless cuts that still get played in slow jam selections around the world to this day.If you were a top-notch slow jams selector, the tracklist would absolutely include at least one Black street, Jodeci & TLC track, which highlighted what it meant to many of us in attendance to see these artists and hear these classic songs live and sounding amazing.Tonight was special. The warm-up DJs (DJ Silk and Frisky DJ) knew the assignment and spun countless jams from this era to have us all in our feels, singing along like we were in front of the bathroom mirror with our hair brush.This was my era, and my era stepped out looking fly tonight and excited for the arrival of Blackstreet (sans founders Teddy Riley & Dave Hollister) hitting you right in the 90s nostalgia glands. In sequinned matching suits. The group ran through the hits from their first two albums. Highlights of the phenomenal return of @bluherfavcolor & @exile to @thejazzcafe 9.6.26The show was opened by the brilliant @meduulla alongside @ethanhillbeats performing tracks from their stellar collaboration Album “Tabula Rasa” The bars were tight, the beats banged and their overall presentation was captivating. They made an instant fan out of me and it was a pleasant surprise to see Meduulla be invited on to kick a fire verse alongside one of the all time greats when it comes to dropping some of the nicest beats and bars @parkypixNow when it came to the Legendary west coast Hip Hop duos Blu & Exile. Who first came to my attention with their classic debut album“Below the Heathens” when it dropped 2007.Currently on a European tour promoting their latest offering and 4th official album “Time Heals Everything” Exile really stood out as one of the all time greats a Producer, Scratch DJ, MPC soloist and Emcee.Where as Blu remains word perfect and razor sharp on the microphone. The renowned West Coast rapper has over 20years of incredible displays of lyricism which should really have him in the discussion as one of the all time greats (Just saying the quiet part out loud)His ability to continue create at such a high level should really be discussed more.With that being said the Packed Out Jazz Cafe the crowd remained highly engaged on this 90minute voyage of Hip Hop goodness. Check out some Highlights from an incredible performance from the visionary Hip Hop Emcee/Producer @oddisee taken his performance at the World Famous Jazz Cafè in Camden.Oddisee, who is currently on a European tour with another dope lyricist @mynameisheno (Heno) as they promote their brilliant collaboration album “From Takoma with Love” Unfortunately we didn’t get to see Oddisee’s phenomenal live band “Good Company” who remained stateside.What we got was a chilled intimate show with a diverse audience, all in attendance for some dope conscious lyricism sprinkled in with some social commentary and humour.This Hip Hop Legend took us on an epic journey through his dynamic discography featuring highlights from albums such as “The Iceberg” and “The Good Fight” before delivering some choice cuts from the new Album. Oddisee is such a chilll and likeable artist with a veteran presence that never disappoints. Despite not seeing his band. Oddisee made sure we got a solid performance that translated into a wonderful show! Backed on vocals by @ready_bornready & @djkanzer, Reggie Noble brought to life his 9th solo album, Muddy Waters Too. We were treated to a masterclass in professional Emceeing! Even at 56 years old with immaculate breath control, stage craft, freestyle and delivery of classic verses from classic tracks crossing decades of Hip Hop History!! Redman continued to express his love for the 90’s Hip Hop era, where he truly believes the art form peaked. He performed dope cuts from his latest album, “Muddy Waters Too,” as well as classic cuts from his nearly 38-year career, such as… “Time 4 Sum Alison” “Whateva Man” “How High” Da Rockwilder” and so much more… The sold out Electric Brixton filled with Hip Hop and blunt heads lol, were fully engaged throughout, even with an incredible DJ Kanzer performance tucked in and Ready Roc holding him down. Redman delivered a floorless 90-minute set, leaving the crowd wanting more. Redman also hung around after the show to sign autographs & take photos with fans. When Queens legend Lloyds Bank hit the stage, the energy snapped into place instantly. Backed by a tight DJ setup and minimal theatrics, he let the music—and his presence—do the heavy lifting.Running through highlights from a near 30-year catalogue, the setlist leaned heavily on fan-favorite G Unit-era hits, each one met with deafening approval. Tracks that once dominated mixtapes and street rotations still hit with force, their gritty charisma intact.
