After a year and a half of writing, recording, re-writing, and obsessing over every little detail, we’re finally getting close.

Over the next few weeks, The Quiet and the Loud will begin releasing new music, starting with our first single, “The Sky.”

This project has been incredibly special to Matt and I. It’s the kind of record you slowly build over late nights, countless revisions, and a shared belief that it’s worth taking the time to get right.

A huge thank you to @skaughticus for helping produce several of these songs and bringing so much creativity to the process, and to Nicholas Ingram @ingramaudioco for his incredible mixing and mastering work. These songs are so much better because of their talent.

We can’t wait for you to hear what we’ve been working on.

“The Sky” will be available on all streaming platforms in the coming weeks.

“American Vitriol” was born from the contradiction of watching people preach “love thy neighbor” while accepting the cruelty toward the very people beside them. Somewhere along the way, empathy became weakness, outrage became entertainment, and human life became secondary to political loyalty. Inspired by the deaths of protesters like Alex Pretti and Renée Good, this song is about what happens when a country worships power more than compassion.

No protest, no act of compassion, no standing up for another person should cost someone their life. No matter how many halos they wear or white gloves they put on, they can’t hide the blood stains.

Never let them forget.

More than 20 years ago, “Fade into You” was the song we danced to on our wedding day. Somehow, all this time later, it still says exactly how I feel.

I recorded and released this cover as a Valentine’s gift to my wife. The love of my life, my best friend, my forever. After all these years, I’d still fade into her without hesitation… and honestly, I always will.
