Answered Prayers was recorded in late 2024/early 2025 in Pasadena, California. Drums were recorded in Warsaw, Poland. Mixing and Mastering was done in Versailles, France. Artwork was hand painted in Transylvania. The opening track has hidden ambience that was recorded in the Paris Catacombs. This is an album about ending the world.

Hey friends! Announcing the hard launch of Dead Pressure, my audio production and design consulting studio.

My goal is to simply help other bands and musicians with their artistic goals; including everything from mixing/mastering, recording, DAW setup, plugins, independent band management/marketing, hand-drawn logos, album layouts, event posters, and other graphic design.

While I specialize in extreme music (death metal, black metal, doom, grindcore, etc.), I am more than happy to work with ANY bands that value rawness, feeling, atmosphere, and experimentation as opposed to the sterile and over-produced.

THE MOSAIC WINDOW — PRE-ORDERS OPEN FOR NEW ALBUM “Answered Prayers” | SECOND SINGLE “Lightning Be Thy Guide” OUT NOW

Vesperian is proud to open pre-orders for Answered Prayers, the new album by THE MOSAIC WINDOW, out on November 13th, 2026. Alongside the pre-order launch, the album’s second single, “Lightning Be Thy Guide”, is available now on all digital platforms.

Answered Prayers marks a deliberate return to the roots for THE MOSAIC WINDOW, the solo project of Andrew Steven “Skeletonhammer” Brown (also known for his work in BONE ABDUCTION). The project’s 2024 album Hemasanctum was a polished, prog-tinged hybrid of death and black metal. The new record moves away from that sound and draws directly on the first and second waves of black metal: cold, fast, melodic and uncompromising.

The album’s ten tracks are bound together by a bleak, nihilistic concept. The idea is a poisoned world whose only cure is the erasure of humanity, undone retroactively, centuries before the Industrial Revolution ever had a chance to begin.

Following lead single “What Sage Could Not Cleanse”, “Lightning Be Thy Guide” shows a different side of the album. It is a mainly mid-tempo, dynamic piece that trades sheer velocity for weight and atmosphere, without losing any of the record’s bite.

Answered Prayers was mixed and mastered by Alex Sedin at Ghostalgy Productions, with session drums performed by Dmitry Kim (Jinjer, among others).

Spain 2026 🇪🇸

Incredible, unforgettable trip. We flew into Madrid, met up with our good friend John for a few days of exploring. Travelled to Andalusia (Sevilla, Cordoba, and Granada) to see the most beautiful and unique architecture that spans centuries of cultural and religious diversity (literal blending of Islamic, Jewish, and Christian influences - it’s like seeing a thousand years of history in one freaking wall). We had amazing food and tapas (lots of which we tried for the first time) and outstanding drinks (I’m going to miss 3€ cervezas). The people were super nice everywhere and I actually somewhat got by with my kindergarten-level Spanish skills. Definitely recommend seeing a flamenco show and dipping into a Moorish bath house. Weather was hot, but dry. Southern California shares the same climate (typically, El Niño [or El Jefe apparently lol] aside). Can’t say enough good things about Spain, what a wonderful country. by @skeletonhammer

Vesperian is pleased to welcome THE MOSAIC WINDOW @themosaicwindow, the Black Metal project of Andrew Steven Brown, to the roster.

On the band's next album, Answered Prayers — out November 13, 2026 — Brown pulls back from the more polished, prog-tinged death/black hybrid of 2024's Hemasanctum and returns to the band’s original core: first and second wave black metal, filtered through atmospheric rasps of despair and phantasmal, buried death growls. Across ten tracks, its nihilistic concept unfolds — humanity erased retroactively, centuries before the Industrial Revolution, as the only cure for a poisoned world.

Alongside the announcement, the band share the album's first single, "What Sage Could Not Cleanse". An older composition, it anchors Answered Prayers' back-to-roots direction: raw, stripped of any polish, a statement of intent — no ritual can purify what's already beyond saving.
