as my final year of school comes to a close, i want to take a long overdue moment to express my gratitude and pride for my thesis film: Papa Piñata (and finally share some stills from it !) this film completely embodies the art of filmmaking for me: a group of some of the most talented individuals i have ever laid eyes on all coming together to make something beautiful. i come up short trying to think of words to describe what this film means to me. this was the most challenging thing i have ever done (stunts, child actors, sfx makeup, all exterior, same time of day, 5 am call times, the list goes on), but i would do it all over again in a heartbeat. i am so overjoyed by the product of our film and im so happy we were able to share it with the world back in March. this film is my way of consolidating everything i have learned thus far at chapman with the prospect of further growth to be found once i graduate. to my support systems along the way, i once again thank you for everything ! how lucky i am to leave soon with this under my belt. more to come from me, i promise x

TAKE ME UNDER THE LIGHT

the last film i DP'ed at Chapman. and what a way to close it out. i felt so many things just click on this set, and i truly was at my most confident in my abilities. after this set, i knew everything i learned in the past 3 years at Chapman was worth it, and that I was more than ready to take on what post-grad will have in store for me. thank you to the entire crew for allowing me to collaborate as a student just one last time. we really made something special. tina and katrina, thank you for reaching out to me and instilling your trust in me, all under the prospect of making this a film for the SEA filmmaking community to prosper.
