What is a technical assignment and why do I work only with it

A technical assignment is the first and very important step in our collaboration. The more accurately it is written, the easier it will be to work on the sketch. In the end, you’ll get exactly the result you need.

A well-crafted technical assignment significantly speeds up the work process.

What should be included in a technical assignment?
Here are the key points:
✅ Drawings: a measurement plan of the room with dimensions and heights (windows, doors, walls).
✅ A furniture layout with exact measurements.
✅ Textures of walls and floors, photos of furniture and decor (collage or individual images).
✅ Links to the furniture in the store — this is very convenient for accuracy.

A clear technical assignment is the foundation of effective work with me, preventing revisions and misunderstandings.

I’m always ready to help with its creation, share examples, and answer any questions.

💥 How to Get a Finished Sketch in Just a Few Days — Without Endless Approvals

❌ Many people get lost and spend weeks on approvals… but not with me!

✨ Here’s how we work:
1️⃣ You send me the brief — I study it carefully and clarify the details.
2️⃣ I provide the timeline and project cost. After payment, I start working right away.
3️⃣ In ARCHICAD, I build a simple 3D model to choose the most appealing angles.
4️⃣ I create a colored sketch — you can make small adjustments (up to 20%) and get the desired result.
5️⃣ I send you the final file in high quality and in the format that suits you best.

✅ Clear, fast, and without unnecessary back-and-forth.

Important: ☝️ I don’t provide the file in Procreate format.

I’m Yulia Kharchenko, a sketcher ✏️

I create hand-drawn visualizations for interior designers and landscape designers 🌿🏠

But I want to tell you something more important than just what I do

I want to help you ❤️

You already have an idea
You already have a project
You know what you want to show your client

My job is to help you show it

I can create the space in 3D, check the proportions and perspective, choose the right view, and then turn it into a hand-drawn sketch

I can help show the atmosphere, materials, light, plants, and details — the things that can sometimes be difficult to explain with plans or words alone ✨

And here, I want to share not only finished sketches and your projects, but also what I know: how I work and how I can help you

Maybe something I share here will help you with your next project 🌿

And if one day you need my help turning your idea into a visualization — I’ll be happy to help 🤝

I want to share what I know and what I can do to help you

I’m Yulia

ARCHICAD — a waste of time? 🤔

At first glance, it might seem that way.

I create hand-drawn sketches.
So why would I spend time building a 3D model first, only to draw it by hand afterward?

Actually, ARCHICAD helps me save time. ⏱️

I create the 3D model myself — based on the dimensions, proportions, and project requirements, using simple forms.

This allows me to build the space accurately before I start drawing, without spending time constructing the perspective by hand.

When I start sketching, the foundation is already there.

I can then focus on what makes a sketch a sketch: atmosphere, light, textures, finishes, and details. ✨

And there’s one more important thing — the viewpoint. 👀

I usually provide several viewpoint options that I think show the project best, so the designer can choose the one that works best.

If a designer wants to see the space from a specific point of view, I simply adjust the camera angle and create the requested view.

And if you’d like to explore the space yourself and choose the viewpoint, I can also provide a BIMx model. 📱

You can open it on your phone or tablet, explore the space, and choose the viewpoint you prefer.

So for me, ARCHICAD isn’t an unnecessary step before creating a hand-drawn sketch.

It’s a tool that helps me work more accurately, efficiently, and flexibly with viewpoints — while keeping the unique character of a hand-drawn sketch.

3D looks great. So why does the client still ask:
“What will it actually look like?”

Because seeing a project and understanding a project are not always the same thing.

A designer can look at a 3D model and immediately understand the space.

The client may still struggle to imagine:
— how the landscape will feel
— how the materials will work together
— where the eye will go first
— what the finished space will actually feel like

And then come the questions.

More explanations.
More references.
More messages trying to describe something that is already clear in the designer’s head.

But what if the client could simply see the idea?

A hand-drawn sketch can add something different to the presentation — atmosphere, character and a clear visual focus.

Not instead of your 3D.

Alongside it.

Because sometimes the best way to explain a concept is not with more words, but with one image that makes the idea click.

If you have a landscape or exterior project that needs this kind of presentation, send me your plan, references and concept.

ARE YOU SURE YOUR CLIENT SEES THE PROJECT THE SAME WAY YOU DO? 👀

You already have the whole picture in your head.

You know what the space will look like, where every element will be, what the atmosphere should feel like, and what impression the project should create.

But for your client, it’s still just:
a plan, a drawing, a 3D model, references…

And sometimes, even the most detailed explanations aren’t enough to help them see that same picture you already have in your head.

Now, imagine something different.

You show your client the visualization — and they immediately understand your idea.

And you get that instant reaction:

“WOW!” ✨

Your client sees the entire space and understands what it will look like in real life.

They understand the materials, shapes, composition, and overall mood.

And you no longer need to explain everything through dozens of messages or show endless references.

That’s exactly why I create sketches for you. ✍️

I take your idea and drawings, create a 3D model, and turn it into a complete visualization that helps you see the project before it is even built.

From idea → to finished visualization.

REVISIONS ARE A DISASTER! 😱

Let’s bust some myths about revisions in sketching ✍️

Revisions are not a disaster.

In fact, I believe revisions are a completely normal part of the design process.

Sometimes, while reviewing a sketch, you may realize that you’d like to adjust a color, remove an element, or add a few details.

And that’s absolutely okay. 🤍

But there’s one important thing to keep in mind: not all revisions are the same.

✍️ INCLUDED REVISIONS

These are minor adjustments, such as:

— changing the color, shade, or texture of an element;
— removing an interior element;
— adjusting decor or plants;
— other minor changes agreed upon in advance.

You receive up to 2 rounds of revisions, with the total revisions limited to 20% of the original scope of work.

Revisions can be requested within 5 days of receiving the sketch.

After that, any additional revisions will be charged separately.

♻️ PAID REVISIONS

These include more significant changes to the completed sketch, such as:

— changing the furniture layout;
— adding new interior elements;
— making significant changes to the composition;
— requesting revisions more than 5 days after receiving the sketch.

And there’s one more important point 👇

Changing the viewing angle after it has been approved, payment has been made, and work on the sketch has begun is considered a new order.

Why?

Because changing the viewing angle is not a minor revision.

It requires reworking the composition and creating the visualization from a different perspective, which means additional time and work.

That’s why my biggest recommendation is to carefully review and approve the viewing angle and key details before the work begins.

And revisions?

They’re not a disaster. 😄

The important thing is that we both understand where a minor adjustment ends and a new scope of work begins. 🤍

Even the best idea can go unnoticed.

Not because it isn’t good.

But because it can be difficult for clients to visualize a future project from technical drawings or a 3D model alone.

That’s where a sketch becomes more than just a beautiful illustration. It becomes a powerful presentation tool that helps your clients see the project exactly as you envision it.

This landscape architectural sketch was created to present the design before construction begins, making the concept clearer, more engaging, and easier to understand.

✨ If you’re a landscape designer, architect, or interior designer, I can transform your concepts into expressive hand-drawn sketches that help communicate your vision with confidence.

🖌️ I create custom sketches for projects of any complexity—helping your ideas speak for themselves.

Sketches aren’t just pretty visuals. They help projects move forward. ✨

When a client sees only technical drawings, hesitation often appears.
The idea exists — but it’s hard to fully imagine.

A sketch helps solve that.

✔️ brings the idea to life quickly
✔️ helps clients understand the project clearly
✔️ reduces uncertainty at the early stage
✔️ can reduce revisions
✔️ helps speed up approvals

That’s why a sketch is more than a beautiful image.

It helps clients connect with the design, make decisions faster, and move the project forward with confidence.

A clear vision often leads to a confident approval.

Clients don’t see what you see.

A plan shows layout.
A sketch helps them understand the idea.

Details help them feel it —
and say “yes” faster.

Sketches as a tool for working with clients

👉 Designers often face situations when:

▪️ A client looks at the plan and says: “I don’t understand anything.”
▪️ The project gets stuck at the stage of approving details

❗️As a result, you spend more time and energy, while the client is still unsure.

✨ This is exactly when my sketches help.

I create sketches for:

✔️ Interior designers — when you need to clearly communicate the idea and evoke emotion so the client can approve the final concept.

✔️ Architects — when it’s important to present the project at the concept stage and avoid unnecessary revisions during construction.

✔️ Landscape designers — when you need to show the atmosphere of the future space, not just a plan.

✨ A sketch is a tool that helps designers save time.
