Here we have a lovely mid-century Poole Pottery ‘Delphis’ bowl. It is the largest size a 58. 13 1/2 inches diameter and 3 1/2 inches high. Hand painted by Cynthia Bennet who worked for the company from 1971 to 1977. It’s in excellent condition and could be yours for £55. DM if you are interested. #poolepottery #pooledelphis #cynthiabennettpoole #midcenturyceramicsforsale by @sketchy1000

Now that they’ve gone live we can shout about these sweet posters we made with @artblocplus
You can grab tickets for their event at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/artbloc-tickets-1993316904520
We used a heavier weight Dove coloured card for most of the posters, but also popped a few out on black card and they totally ping! (print doesn’t photograph well)
Look out around north Devon for some of these in the wild!

I picked up this great les disques du crepuscule compilation the other day. Double vinyl from a local antique market. See the back of the sleeve for the featured artists. #disquesducrepuscule #paulhaig #orangejuiceband #virginiaastley #thedurutticolumn taken in Exeter, Devon by @sketchy1000

Fantastic gig from David Byrne at the Piece Hall in Halifax. One of my all time top 3 gigs ever, one being from 1978 and two from the last 12 months. Can you guess the other two? taken in Piece Hall by @sketchy1000

Found this on the bookshelf at home today. 2002 first edition paperback (I don’t think there was a hardback edition) I got it from Virgin Records in Exeter. Signed in blue ink by Antony H Wilson (not in store) There can’t be many of these about, I can’t find another one on line. #factoryrecords #tonywilson #joydivision #neworder by @sketchy1000

Another top find at a local car boot sale. Mid-century White fiberglass tulip chair designed by Maurice Burke for Arkana in the 1960s and features a distinctive swivel base. Picked up a month ago. It had no cushion so ikea provided this smaller one for the meantime. You can get replacement cushions on line. Blue or Orange? I’m going to get the orange one. It was on the last stall before I was leaving ( I had been there for 45 minutes ) I think most people if they saw it had mistaken it for a garden chair. Very happy with this and I am keeping it. £17 well spent. #tulipchair #mauriceburkechair #arkanachairs #midcenturychairs by @sketchy1000

I found this about a month ago at our local car boot sale. The lady had no idea what it was, neither did I but I knew it was lovely. £4 later I walked off with it. After some research I found that it was a Tuareg tent peg, decorated with simple carvings crafted from local drought resistant wood like Jdari. Not only valued as a utility item but as really nice example of nomadic African tribal art. Definitely keeping this. Found on a car park of a cattle market on an industrial estate in Exeter. What a journey. #tuareg #nomadicart #berber #carbootsale by @sketchy1000
