proof that arriving a day early is absolutely always worth it! 🌅 #sktraveltime

i’m in mccall for my sorority sister, @hannahknowlestv, wedding, but i had to give myself a little extra time here because it’s been 11 years since my last visit. ⛵️

between staying in the cutest airbnb that i now want to move into for the rest of the summer, taking my host’s recommendation to book this sunset cocktail cruise, and getting to see one of my favorite places again, i’d say the trip is already off to a pretty perfect start.

we even got caught in a quick little rain shower. everyone ran downstairs for cover while the pianist just kept playing. it was giving *titanic* live band energy, except the boat was very much fine. 🌧️🎹

five minutes later the sun was back out, the lake somehow looked even more beautiful, we all dried off, and i swear the little rain shower made everyone loosen up and start talking to each other. it ended up being one of those unexpected moments that made the whole evening even better. 🩵

k wait, can we talk about how cool it is when things just align?
.
i’ve been back home in utah all month, and one of my favorite nashville friends tells me she’s flying in for a show in slc. obviously i’m there.
.
i got to bring my childhood best friend back to my alma mater and finally cross seeing a show at red butte off my list. which is kind of wild considering i literally lived on campus in a building that shared a parking lot with the venue.
.
and then somehow the night turned into running into friends from so many different chapters of my life. people i haven’t seen in years, all in one place.
.
it felt like one of those rare full-circle moments where your past and present somehow meet. i left feeling really grateful, and i can’t help but think it’s a pretty good omen for whatever’s next. 😏
