Concrete is poured and we’re ready for towers!

We’ve been holding onto these for a bit, but we're finally excited to share that all 16 new tower footings for the high-speed quad are officially poured at Bluewood!

Getting it done was a logistical masterpiece - nearly 1,100 vertical feet of lift line, several long days, 20+ concrete trucks, 2 all-terrain tracked mixers, concrete pump trucks, and a whole lot of hands all working together seamlessly to make sure every footing was poured.

We’re incredibly thankful to Koncrete Industries, Moreno Castillo Construction, Northland Builders, Hoburg Enterprises, and of course our Bluewood crew for helping us pull this one off.

We’ve got plenty more to share from behind the scenes, but for now, the concrete is in, forms will be coming off soon, and we'll be ready for towers next summer!

Big screen, big mountains, and a good reason to get stoked for winter!

Join us at the Richland Players Community Theatre for a night of skiing, snowboarding, and a Teton Gravity Research film, all in support of the Bluewood Ski & Snowboard Team!

Proceeds from the night will help support our local youth athletes with coaching, training, equipment, competitions, and more throughout the season.

Starting to feel a little more like winter up here...

We rolled onto the mountain this morning to a good layer of frost and temps sitting at 29°. No snow quite yet, but it can’t be too far off.

So, who’s got a guess for when we’ll see the first flakes?

48 years ago, crews were cutting runs and hauling logs as they got the mountain ready for Bluewood’s opening season.

The last four bolt templates are in!

The team finished installing the final four bolt templates, which means all of the tower footing templates are officially in and ready to go. Now we’re getting everything in place to start the concrete pouring process at the top of the mountain.

The bull wheels have arrived!

With the arrival of the top and bottom bull wheels, the haul rope, and the other major parts we’ve gotten on the mountain this summer, we should be in a good spot to start installation at the end of the 26/27 season!

Next up: time to pour some concrete.

Green Giant is looking good!

The Tamarack Trail Works crew has the trail roughed in from top to bottom and is now dialing in the turns and berms, compacting dirt, widening the flats, and tuning things up all the way down. We’re stoked to see this one coming together!

Bolts are going in and we’re getting ready to pour!

The crews have been working hard getting the bolt templates set in the tower footings and making sure everything is lined up for concrete.

With just four towers left to get templates installed, we should be pouring soon enough!
