Meet our newest ambassador: Gerrit Egnew🏔️

Gerrit grew up in the Rocky Mountains, climbing and skiing his way through Idaho and Montana, before moving to the Swiss Alps, where he’s now completing his apprenticeship as a mountain guide.

He’s a true all-rounder. He’s as happy riding pillow lines and running ridges as he is groveling centimeter by centimeter up a frozen choss chimney. And when the weather turns foul? That’s when he digs in.

A few things we learned about him:
🤝 He looks for partners who stay psyched when things go a little sideways.
☕ After skiing: hot chocolate with whipped cream and nutmeg.

The polar night is just around the corner, bringing more and more days like these, temperatures dropping well below zero, landscapes covered in snow and ice, and the sky is glowing in soft pastel shades from pink to purple.
Everything seems to slow down. The world becomes quieter, calmer and somehow more peaceful.
These days are about simply being there, taking it all in and experiencing the Arctic winter wonderland. ❄️

Went on a weekend mish south 🏔️

Yapping all things backcountry @ausbackcountryfestival with @skida.app

Fantastic event run by amazing people. Tide was low but stoke was all time high.

Hopefully next year we can get a SkiMo Race up and running.
