Gilroy is a song about a lot of things: labor, class, loneliness, and escape…written after a tragedy

I left it without a chorus as a kind of moment of silence, to avoid summarizing or trying to be right and to instead just create some space…to feel, and to sit with it

A lil journal entry as I see the kids are putting on their backpacks again and the trees will soon be sticks

My first tour is done
I am learning so much !
Thank you @rjmillerdrums and @chris_kyle_3o3o3o for joining me on some shows + everyone who came to listen

Noticing there are always little pulls to do something, acting on them more often … I suppose this started as a way of becoming a better improviser, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t apply to everything

(((Listen, come in at the right time, don’t get scared or clammy about it … )))

In need of nothing, generally fine not knowing what happens next, feeling open and happy to get to play

There may or may not be new music I’d like to show you but I’m not in a mad dash about it

Starting with full band at Public Records Oct. 3
Opening for my friend Eli Winter and his beautiful trio from Chicago

This one will be pretty unique (come !!)
Tickets on dice

Then we go to the part of Pennsylvania where they put French fries in salads … then @kt.sura and I head over to France for a super sweet seated show at Chair de Poule

We have one week left in Maine
Celebrating pre-fall
Which we learned from Aron is one of many (six? twelve??) seasons in the fashion industry

I’m playing shows I’m excited about on weds and sat (and we will have a limited run of @mauraclairethomas’s poster in print) but we’re also just picnicking and swimming in ponds and hoping someone will invite us on their boat taken in Wiscasset, Maine by @skiiiteam
