Another running post 😆 My third 5k race and placed 1st in my age group! Couldn’t even believe it! @derrick.peatross placed 3rd overall 👏🏼

New PR Chip time 31:43

This race was actually a lot harder and hillier than I was expecting!

Forgot to post these from the @deseretnewsmarathon 24th of July race! My second 5k and this race was way bigger than the first one I did…some insanely fast people running this race!

Chip time 35:20! Improved over 4 minutes from my previous race! Derrick also got a PR with just over 18 minutes and placed 3rd in his age division 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 We are silly and forgot to take any individual photos 😆

Summer photo dump part 1…trying to be better at posting!

If I could describe this summer in one word it would be HOT 😆

Really tried to have a better work/life balance this summer since I usually end up just working and then summer is over! I would say I improved a little hahaha…and running through the summer was roughhh 🥵 but there were many beautiful sunsets!

My first 5K and first race in over 20 years! Definitely a different feeling running just for fun as an adult! Ended up signing up last minute, but haven’t quite gotten to a 5k in my training yet 😜 Just tried to take it easy and not push it too hard! And of course @derrick.peatross had to run with me (well way ahead of me 😆) He ended up placing 2nd in his age division and 9th overall!

Rewarded ourselves with some @tresgatoscoffee after we finished! ❤️

Sorry for the long post! This week marks one year since I injured my ankle playing pickleball…a little scrapbook of memories of the last year trying to recover from my grade 3 ankle sprain! This was probably the worst injury that I’ve ever had and it happened in a split second. I will never take being able to walk, or do the simplest tasks like bending down to pick something up or stepping into the bathtub for granted again! It was a long road to get back to dancing, but I feel like I’m almost fully back! Just working on those big jumps/high impact landings! What a year!

Big thanks to @wrenamelia for always helping me modify with my injuries and @promovementtherapy for all the recovery help! And of course @derrick.peatross for taking care of me when I couldn’t walk 🖤 and setting up all my photoshoots haha.

I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since we had to say goodbye to our Marley 🖤 It’s crazy I feel like my body physically knows what time of year it is…our time together was just suddenly cut way too short 💔 Hope he’s up there with a never ending supply of tennis balls!
