From ‘13 to ♾️

What started off as a small project as I was getting ready to graduate college has turned into a decade + side hustle. I began painting on sneakers in 2013 with my buddy @jonnymangini and we formed @johnjonscustoms together. We toured the tri-state area showing off our painted Converse and Vans at every convention we could find. In 2017 I decided that I was going to make a go at being a legitimate business and Skinz Time was born. Since then I’ve painted well over 1,000 pairs of sneakers, have done projects for huge brands and celebrities, appeared on national television, and have painted live at more events than I can count. Here’s to the next decade and everything it brings!

Theme stolen from @erikacosplay

Coraline 🧵

Seeing the amount of love this pair got when I posted them earlier this year reinforced my love for customizing sneakers. Coraline is a great film and has a huge amount of supporters that showed a lot of love to the design. Incorporating the buttons was one of my favorite additions. Can’t wait to try new things I learned from this pair in the future.

You and I will always be back then 🎶

Marceline the Vampire Queen and Princess Bubblegum. Thoughts on this pair? Which Adventure Time characters should I tackle next?

Marceline the Vampire Queen and Princess Bubblegum on a pair of Converse All Star. One of my favorites scenes from one of my favorite episodes.

@sneakertattoosofficial Unboxing! 📦

@cestlavic hooked me up with her new 1/4 size customization kit and a really nifty utility belt which makes me feel like Batman. It has everything you need to put a custom spin on your leather goods. What should I customize with the lucky charms set? 🍀

When your biggest fan asks for new school shoes, you make them! We’re currently on a Gabby’s Dollhouse kick so we went with DJ Catnip and Mercat with some @solarcolordust thrown in for an added bonus.

Dino Dunks! 🦖

A look back at these Jurassic Park themed Dunks from a year or two ago. One of the scarier movies from my childhood, I decided to recreate the iconic design from the Ford Explorer tour vehicle.
