Skip something. Feed a child. This September is #Skiptember

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our world is hurting. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Below are some amazing words and thoughts from our dear friend @karenkingsbury

Hurricane Helene caused devastation across six states with nearly 200 dead and more missing … Israel is under attack by Iran … and dockworkers are on strike as of today. People are hurting and they need us now. How? Pray. God hears the prayers of His people. Prayer changes things.

Remember through all of this, God is still on the throne, still in control. Next, give. I suggest @samaritanspurse and I’ve started a fundraiser where money goes directly to this organization. They are on the ground in every affected state with countless volunteers providing food, water, clothing, and shelter to hurricane victims - in the name of Jesus.

And finally, if you can, roll up your sleeves and help. You and I were born for such a time as this and He expects us to get involved and make a difference. Please pray, give, and help today. Let’s be the light of Christ to a deeply hurting country and world. by @skip1org

Skip something and donate that money instead to Skip1.org. You won’t miss whatever you skipped and you’ll help us bring food and water to children who need it most.

Skipping something small makes a GIANT difference when everyone does it. It’s at scale that we can have a great impact on the lives of children, their families and the communities we help support. Thank you for Skipping with us this Skiptember!

It all started when @shelenebryan sponsored two children in Uganda and put their photos up on her fridge.

Today, @skip1org has built several kitchens and continues to support multiple feeding programs in the U.S. and around the world. Our focus this year is continuing to support Hope Haven Rwanda.

Skipping something is super easy. Think of 1 thing you can skip and donate that money instead to Skip1.org.

Forego something. Make a little sacrifice in order to help those in need.

Let us know what you’re skipping 💚

It can be anything:

A car wash
A coffee
A boujee dinner
Valet parking
A mani/pedi
A pair of shoes
A new outfit
A bottled water
A snack
A magazine
A movie purchase
A movie rental
