Chores are DONE… so this girl officially clocked out! 💁🏼‍♀️☀️

When California decides to turn the thermostat up past 90°, I know exactly where I’m headed… the beach! 🌊

It was a gorgeous 82° by the water, and that ocean was EVERYTHING. Refreshing, breezy, and exactly the kind of Vitamin Sea this girl ordered. 😎🌴

It’s National Pit Bull Awareness Month, so I thought I’d share a little real-life Pit Bull awareness. 😂🐾

This is Marley. She’s technically a Staffordshire Terrier, but like many Staffies, she gets categorized as a Pit Bull.

They’re known for being loving, loyal, hungry, and having absolutely NO concept of personal space. 😂

Exhibit A: I’m trying to enjoy my morning latte and muffin… ☕️🧁

She has already been fed.
She is 13 years old.
She is clearly not starving.

But apparently none of that matters because Mom has food. 😂

And yes… gray Pit Bulls/Staffies are often affectionately called hippos. 🦛😂

So here she is, in my face, supervising breakfast like she hasn’t eaten since 2013. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Those were better days. 💔🐾🌊

My little guy, Ajax — aka JJ — used to love our beach days. Running, sniffing, exploring, and soaking up the sunshine with me. And when he finally got tired, I’d scoop him up and carry my little 6-pound guy home. ❤️

A couple of weeks ago, JJ blew out his knee, and he just hasn’t been himself since. He’s not happy, he’s hurting, and today he didn’t even eat. 💔

So I’m asking for a little extra love and prayer for my sweet boy Ajax. 🙏🏼🐾 Please pray for comfort, healing, and for my happy little beach buddy to feel like himself again.

JJ here. 🐾

Apparently I blew out my knee about two weeks ago, and now Mom has decided I need something called red light therapy.

I don’t know what that is, but I DO know that when Mom brings out that little red-light contraption, I RUN. 😂

So Mom finally figured out my secret weakness: cover my head so I can’t see it. 🤣

Now I’m laying here all covered up like some kind of tiny spa patient while Mom sneaks the red light onto my bad knee. And if she accidentally touches me? I jump like I’ve been shot out of a cannon. Which is apparently NOT what Mom wants me doing with a blown-out knee. 🙄

So this is my life now…

Head covered.
Knee getting zapped.
Mom sneaking around like a ninja.
And me pretending I have absolutely no idea what’s going on. 😴😂

At least I’m getting my treatment now. And since Mom gave me my gabapentin, I’m a little too sleepy to stage a proper escape.

Senior dog life is NOT for the faint of heart. 🐾❤️
