Juju had no doubt the Buffs would get it done.

“Having confident in my teammates, having confidence in Coach @brennan_marion4 , having confident in coach @deionsanders , having confidence in the offense. We trust each other, we worked for it. We knew it was going to happen. GOD DID for us.” @julianlewis10 taken in University of Colorado Boulder by @skovarsity

INSIDE THE SECONDARY: PART 1

The first thing that stood out during my one-on-one interview with Randon Fontenette was his size. At 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, the Vanderbilt transfer is massive for a defensive back and Colorado plans to use that physicality throughout its secondary.

Coach Prime called CU’s cornerbacks and safeties future pros. That belief means something to Fontenette.

“Coach Prime ain’t going to lie to you. When it’s time to slide, we’re going to slide for him.”

Fontenette arrives in Boulder after starting 24 games across two seasons at Vanderbilt. Now he brings size, experience and versatility to a Colorado secondary carrying professional expectations.

Stay tuned for PART 2

For the first time under Coach Prime, Colorado has taken fall camp on the road.

Instead of staying in Boulder, the Buffaloes are spending the week at Fountain-Fort Carson High School in Colorado Springs with one goal: bring the team closer together.

Coach Prime said getting away from campus has allowed the Buffs to spend every moment together, building chemistry on and off the field.

Tight End Zach Atkins says that culture is already making an impact, crediting Coach Prime for challenging him to become a better leader and develop a “next play mentality.”

Will the change pay off when the Buffs open the season?

Colorado just offered one of the YOUNGEST and BIGGEST prospects on its radar.

Devyn West is an incoming high school freshman Fairview High School in Boulder. He already checks in at 6-6, 300 pounds, and the Buffs moved early after getting him on campus.

The size jumps out immediately, but the bigger recruiting story now is whether Colorado can stay in this one for the long haul.

Early offer. Massive frame. Recruitment starts now. taken in University of Colorado Boulder by @skovarsity

BUFFS GET BIG

Colorado added needed frontcourt help with the signing of North Dakota State transfer Noah Feddersen.

The 6-foot-10, 245-pound big man comes to Boulder after helping NDSU win the Summit League regular-season title, conference tournament, and reach the NCAA Tournament.

Feddersen was named the Summit League Sixth Man of the Year and gives Tad Boyle a frontcourt addition with size, experience, and production. Boyle said it clearly: Colorado needs frontcourt players who can step in and play next season.
