Last week our house was feeling a little lonely, so Sage and I booked a slot of time at a local cat cafe. We had seen some videos of one cat we possibly wanted to take home. When we arrived the cat we had our sights on did not take a liking to us, but these two bonded sisters did. They ran up to us and played, and we felt a bond right away. We ended up going back the next day and spending more time with them, and we knew we were set on taking them home. Next followed a phone interview with the shelter rep who handles all the cats at the cafe, then a video call 2 days later. Then we got the news that they were ours! Friday we picked them up, brought them home, and they have been adjusting beautifully. They are very chatty, they play, eat, and sleep together, and they love chasing eachother around. Our house finally feels like a home again after Taara’s passing in September. Meet ‘the void sisters’- Kumiko (Miko) Aura Belle, and Sophie Aeon Belle, 7 months old. So excited to love them and give them happy healthy lives with us. 🖤🖤 taken in Miracle Mile, Los Angeles by @skulliee

Earlier this week after a medical emergency, our vet advised it was time for Taara to pass on. Today she passed peacefully in our home after 3 days of all the love, cuddles, and kitty junk food she wanted. Taara Belle, you gave your Mama an amazing 21 years with you, and I was lucky to meet you and love you for the last 3. I’ll miss you roaming the hallway, loudly singing the song of your people (or talking to the ghosts), and your nightly snuggles firmly planted next to Sage’s hip. We are going to miss you more than words can say. 🖤 by @skulliee

Took a trip down to San Diego this weekend to see the Doctor Who exhibit. This show has become very important to me over the last couple years, so this was a special day to say the least. Afterwards Sage and I strolled around the Japanese Garden. 🤍 taken in Balboa Park, San Diego by @skulliee

For my birthday this year Sage got us annual membership passes to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. We went for our first visit over the weekend, and it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. We were only able to explore about 1/3 of the entire place because it was so massive. We saw the Greenhouse, Japanese and Chinese gardens. Can’t wait for our next trip back to see the rest ✨🌿🪷 taken in The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens by @skulliee

Birthday and holiday dump✨

It’s been so amazing finally having Sage with me in LA the past three weeks, after 8 months of being so far away in Portland. The best part is she isn’t leaving this time.

I have a feeling 31 and 2023 are going to have a lot of amazing things in store🖤 taken in Los Angeles, California by @skulliee
