It's hard to believe it's been 4 years since we last saw each other. Somehow, it still feels like it was just yesterday. Time flies, however it's great knowing some friendships never change. Colin Rhodes thank you for a great day with even better conversation and turning me on to an affogato. Also, I am so stoked you're in a place "where the sun screen is not safe!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 taken in Park City, Utah by @sky_jumper77

Andy Lewis you were such a huge part of my introduction to BASE jumping in the Moab area, and I'll always be grateful for the adventures we shared. This was my 32nd exit overall, but only my third in Moab. I'll never forget standing at Banac with you, taking in the incredible landscape before the jump. What sticks with me just as much as the exit itself were the beautiful petroglyphs beneath it—you were so genuinely excited to share them with us, and that excitement was contagious.
You had a way of making every jump about more than just stepping off a cliff. It was about appreciating the history, the beauty, and the privilege of experiencing places like Moab. Every time I think of Banac, I won't just remember the jump—I’ll remember you, your passion, and the way you inspired the people around you.
Thank you! 🥰 taken in Moab, Utah by @sky_jumper77

There are moments in life that stay with you forever. For me, one of those is the feeling of standing on the edge before a base jump—the silence, the rush of adrenaline, and the absolute commitment to the exit. It's impossible to fully describe, but it's a reminder that some of life's greatest moments happen when you step beyond your comfort zone. I'll always remember that feeling. 🪂

Learning to ascend a rope for the first time in my life, I found it to be slow, taxing, but rewarding and fun! Each ascent builds strength, confidence, and resilience, proving that progress comes one step—and one pull—at a time. Thank you @brenda.beauregard14 for taking me and teaching me new skills!

There’s something about wandering through canyons that fills up my cup in a way nothing else can. The quiet, the towering walls carved by time, the endless views, and the reminder that the best things can’t be rushed. Every trail leaves me feeling a little lighter, a little more grounded, and deeply grateful for the wild places that have a way of putting everything into perspective.

Here's to chasing horizons, embracing the journey, and finding peace where the earth tells its oldest stories. 🧡🏜️

This week we lost many beautiful souls in a plane crash. One that I will never forget, thank you for capturing and editing my 300th skydive in such an amazing way. It was an honor to celebrate it you.
Nick was an amazing human, talented videographer, and passionate skydiver. He lived life with courage, captured unforgettable moments, and inspired everyone who knew him.
Though our hearts are broken, there's comfort in knowing he was doing what he loved most. Blue skies forever, my friend. You'll be deeply missed and never forgotten. 💙🪂

I will always remember my first ever earth exit BASE jump in Moab, I was pretty sure I was about to discover several new ways to panic. He, on the other hand, acted like we were just taking a casual stroll with a spectacular view.
What I remember most wasn't the jump itself—it was how safe he made me feel. Somehow he had the rare gift of making something completely insane seem perfectly reasonable. He answered every nervous question, laughed at my overthinking, and carried himself with the kind of confidence that made you believe everything was going to be okay.
Looking back, I realize that was his superpower. He wasn't just fearless; he was reassuring. He could calm people down with a joke, a grin, and a few well-timed words. By the time we stepped off that cliff, I trusted him far more than I trusted my own nerves.
I still laugh when I think about that day. My heart rate was somewhere around "hunted by bears," while he was as relaxed as a guy waiting for his coffee order. Thanks to him, one of the most intimidating moments of my life became one of my favorite memories.
The world feels a little less adventurous without him in it, but I'm grateful I got to know him, jump with him, and see firsthand the joy he brought to the people around him. Every time I think of that first jump, I think of him—and I smile. You will be deeply missed by all @sketchyandylewis by @sky_jumper77

I used to jump off cliffs for fun.

Not metaphorically. Actual cliffs. BASE jumping teaches you weird things about fear — mostly that fear isn’t loud. It’s quiet. Precise. It's check your straps twice and know exactly how many seconds you have before the ground matters again.

Back then, my life fit into a backpack: parachute, water bottle, bruised knees, stories nobody believed afterward. I thought becoming older meant becoming boring, and I swore I’d never trade adrenaline for sensible shoes.

Now I catch myself saying things like “Did you bring a jacket?” and “Text me when you get home.”

And somewhere along the way, without noticing exactly when it happened, I truly started becoming somebody’s grandma.
Not overnight. More like erosion. The sharp edges softened first. Then the constant hunger for danger got replaced with a hunger for continuity — for keeping people safe, fed, and remembered. There’s a different kind of courage in that. Less cinematic. More durable.

People think adventure and tenderness live at opposite ends of life. But honestly? BASE jumping and grandmotherhood have more in common than you’d think. Both require faith. Both involve letting go. Both mean loving something enough to risk your heart every single time.

I used to leap off mountains to feel alive.
Now I feed birds, save birthday dates, and tell people to drive carefully.
And weirdly, I think I’m just as fearless as I was then.

There is a quiet kind of magic in loving your grandchildren—a tenderness that feels both new and deeply familiar. It’s love unburdened by the rush of first-time parenting, softened by time, and enriched with patience. With them, you rediscover wonder in the smallest things: the way laughter spills freely, how questions come without end, and how even an ordinary afternoon can turn into something unforgettable.

Building a bond with your grandkids isn’t about grand gestures—it’s in the steady presence. It’s in listening to their stories, even the ones that wander. It’s in sharing your own, passing down not just memories but pieces of who you are. Little by little, you become part of their sense of safety, their idea of home.

And in return, they give you something rare: a chance to see life begin again, but this time with perspective. They remind you to slow down, to play, to marvel. The bond grows quietly but surely—rooted in trust, wrapped in affection, and strengthened by time spent together.

To love your grandchildren is to hold the past and future in the same moment—and to realize that the heart only expands, making room for more joy than you ever thought possible. taken in Moss Bluff, Louisiana by @sky_jumper77
