This was on my first heli-jump beginning of the year. I just recently switched to a new canopy that was still hard to pack and sniveled longer, which gave it more time to twist on opening. Before that I literally only had linetwists once when I was an AFF student. My previous canopy was a Sabre 2 which opened shit but fast, wich didn’t give it time to twist and therefore I wasn‘t used to having to fight line twists. I never tried bringing the line twists down to the risers before. When I had these twists that happened above a mountain and luckily didn‘t dive, I realised I have to practice to be ready once I have a more critical situation with a smaller canopy. I‘m glad that I did because in the meantime I had to resolve diving linetwists a coule of times when wingsuiting my crossfire 3💀 It‘s something that I see as quite important and most learn how to „kick out“ linetwists on huge student canopies, but if they don‘t really have linetwists after, they never learn it until they are on a small performance canopy where they might have to chop even if it was solveable. by @skydive.nation
