We made Nordic history last week. 😎

Over the Viking town of Tønsberg, skydivers from across the Nordic region and beyond came together to set new records in both Formation Skydiving and Freefly.

The FS team set a 60-way, two-point Total Break Sequential Nordic Record, jumping from 15,000 feet from one Skyvan and two Twin Otters.
They also came within a breath of making it three points, but the skygods in Valhalla denied us that pleasure. Thus far…

The Freefly team first built a 27-way, the largest freefly formation ever flown over Norway, before setting a two-point 26-way sequential Freefly Record.

Nordic skies, Two disciplines. Two Records and lot of very proud Vikings.

Thank you to every flyer, organiser, camera flyer, pilot and person on the ground who made it happen. And thank you to Gudvangen Fallskjermklubb for organising it with us, and @flytribe_tribers for supporting it.

The skygods were generous. 🎉

Det som i går var en hilsen og et håp om at han skulle bli bedre, ble i dag til en siste hyllest.

Takk for alt, Kong Harald V.

Want to see what a two-point, 60-way FS Nordic Record looks like? Here it is. 😎

Five nations. Sixty skydivers. The jump that put the Nordic FS team into the record books. 🇩🇰🇫🇮🇸🇪🇳🇴🇮🇸

The Freefly team did it! 🇳🇴🇩🇰🇸🇪🇫🇮🇪🇪🇱🇻

Today, 26 flyers from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Latvia completed a two-point formation to set a new Nordic Freefly Record.

Six nations. Two points. One very proud team.
And they’re not finished yet.
Stand by for more.

Five jumps done today, and the Freefly team is smiling. 😎

The first jump was just one grip away from success. Since then, they’ve kept working, adjusting and going back up.

The energy is high. Nothing to announce just yet, but we’re not done. Stand by. 🇳🇴🇩🇰🇸🇪🇫🇮🇮🇸🇪🇪🇱🇻

Yes, we’re still pretty stoked about yesterday. 😎

“I’m in the base wearing 12 kilograms of weight. I love this shit. Hug your friends.” - A little perspective from FS Organiser @katecooperjensen after the two-point 60-way Nordic Sequential Record.

The record was completed on the eighth jump of the event by skydivers from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark.

Kate is part of the organising team alongside @ronny_holen @nadjalonnroth and @svenmortberg

And today, the team will take everything they learned yesterday and see if they can make it three points.
